So what car have you been obsessing about today?? (Vol 2)
Discussion
Not sure how much bork potential it has (probably a lot) but like the sound of a manual supercharged straight six jag in British Racing Green.

After seeing the Chevette saloon in beige going around Swansea recently, and then the HS hatchback and Firenza in this weekends Harry Flatters rally (Firenza driven by Jimmy McRae no less!). Also remembering my Dads stories about his Ventora. I really fancy a slice of old school vauxhall...

The lovely Renault Clio 182 Trophy!
I start a new role on Monday which would mean that my weekly mileage could dramatically decrease meaning I wouldn't need a car with creature comforts and whatnot. If my new role has the potential to be permanent, I do see myself being very tempted by a Trophy when a immaculate example appears in the Classifieds. It would HAVE to be a Trophy though because I am sold in such a way that a standard 182 wouldn't suffice. To reference a quote from Jeremy Clarkson;
You will pull up to the lights one day in your 182 (for example) when a Trophy (example) will pull up alongside and.....
Never owned a Jag, or even considered one, but was sat outside a bar last night and and XKR sat there and fell for the looks big time, and as it pulled away it sounded superb.
I have been thinking of selling the ML and getting a B3 Touring, but my wife said, why not keep the ML and get one of those?
So found this on autotrader.......

Fell in love with my normal Puma again, really wish I could have one of these
Perhaps more realistically
My own car, but fully repaired/restored/modified to how I'd want it. New exhaust/all the rust repaired/tracking sorted/wheels refurbed/lowered slightly/lambda sensor replaced etc, the list goes on for a while

There's a nice XKR locally to me...black with cream leather. Looks fantastic (much better than green/grey IMO) and as you say, sounds great. I have been thinking of selling the ML and getting a B3 Touring, but my wife said, why not keep the ML and get one of those?

Why not a DC2/DC5? Or do you just have something for Clios/Renaults? Just asking.
I can't afford the insurance on an import so a DC5 is out the question, and besides i wouldn't want to use a DC2/5 as a daily and i am not in a position to keep 2 cars; and i want something relatively new(ish) for daily duties. melvster said:
