That Estoril M3 with that leather is a great combination.

Makes the interior seem so light and glass looks super clean with it!

Passed with flying colours. woohoo

I've been offered a Megan Scenic as a part exchange. Dare I? silly

Edited to add...

Pro - I can bin the back seats and use it to collect Mogrod bits.
Con - I will look like an emasculated weirdo driving a people carrier by myself.
Pro - It has a tow bar
Con - It has the 1.4 engine so towing anything bigger than 6x3 trailer filled with air will be a struggle.
Pro - I'll hate it so I won't feel guilty driving it to work.
Con - It's a Renault so it will either catch fire, be stolen or stolen and set fire to.
Pro - I'll keep the mileage down on my Panda and X1/9
Con - I already have a bicycle for that.
Pro - It'll fit in the back if I get a puncture or want to ride somewhere socially (London to Brighton in June)
Con - Wherever I park for a cycle ride it will look like I'm dogging.
Pro - It's a sensible family car.
Con - Anyone who knows my family will know "sensible" has never been part of the equation.

Hmmmmmm....

I'm actually considering it.

Doing a back flip out of my comfort zone.

First impression?

Have you ever gone upstairs in your home an then noticed you have dog poo on your shoe? The anger, frustration and contempt for the pond dwelling scum who left poo where someone could step in it in the twenty first century is only over shadowed by the overwhelming disappointment caused by the realisation you have traipsed that poo through your house.

That feeling is the Renault Megane Scenic.

I have previously stated that men driving people carriers are the worst drivers in the world. They cut you up, tailgate, try to kill cyclists instead of pretending to try and overtake and if you ever see a people carrier driven by a man less than 150% of the speed limit it's because they already have nine points or it's as fast as the knackered clutch will allow.

Now I have driven one for roughly three quarters of a mile I completely understand.

It's an elevated seat position like a Transit only without the power, handling or any idea what the clutch, throttle pedals or steering wheel are connected to. So vague driving that car for a few minutes was like watching a box set of Lost. The brakes are superb in an all or nothing kind of way that leaves you stopped six feet before any junction.

No interior shot as it's too distressing. I'll don my bio-hazard suit and give it a wash tomorrow. I think I'll drill holes in the floor and take a pressure washer to it.

And to think someone walked into a showroom and brought that brand new. Staggering.

Someone took that car for a test drive thought "this is just what I'm looking for" and parted with over £14,000

censored

I'm glad it only owes me £120 as I'd probably have an issue otherwise.

Normally I do not like silver cars as I think they're duller then dishwater, but I'm quite fond of this.

I got one as a company car two weeks ago. Exceptionally well-judged as an everyday, do-anything car.

For balance, I'm still pondering Impreza P1s and TME Evos but now also contemplating whether I can grow old without having owned an M3 CSL.
