I've been offered an 83 230CE for silly money. Even though it's hasn't got enough pedals I'm tempted to sell my 190E and get the old girl. 80's 230CE body with CLK230 Kompressor running gear (as they are dirt cheap at the moment) for the best of both worlds kind of build. Jw Vw said:

It just ticks all the boxes.
Now if only someone would insure a 22 year old with 5 years no claims on it at a reasonable price!
Who have you tried? I went the specialist route but I'm older than you however I don't have much more NCB than you. Also try speaking to Art0ir, here is his thread http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...It just ticks all the boxes.

If I could I'd get one of these for my family barge

Buying an expensive plastic car from a dealer I've never heard of in the south of France would be mental, right? Imagine the drive home though

Sounds like a paddling of ducks ticking over but the smile pedal soon takes care of that.

If you know anyone who has just bought a Jag' or M3 be sure to point and laugh at them.

Now that is the direction Alfa should be going. That looks fantastic even though I'm not a huge fan of the cloverleaf wheels I appreciate that most Alfa fans will want them.
I'm not too fussed about the wheels. I like the 2.9 turbo V6 from Ferrari originally destined for the 6C but mounted on a proper gearbox. It makes the XFR look like an old mans car. Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
