I'm guessing the first lot of lease deal cars are hitting the market? I wonder what will happen to values when more head back. Same for the M135i.

I've been offered a Renault Megane Scenic RX4 as a part exchange for my FTO.

scratchchin

Not only am I considering it but I'm thinking Zombie prep'mobile; jacked up suspension, mud tyres, black painted bull bars and LED auxiliary lamps.

Serious question. I'm 6'2, will i fit in any of these?

Anyone over 5'11 actually tried?
I'm 6'2". I kid myself I fit in the later cars. Just.

Roger Moore is 6'2". Surely that's all the reason you need to buy one?
(I suspect he was never inside one for longer than needed for a closeup camera shot.)

It's been a long while since I've machined a car.

You machined all of that?

That's pretty impressive. Would you charge as much for one as BMW would?

It's dependent on torso / leg length ratio too not so much exact height. The seats don't go back that far and the recline is negligible from memory. I fitted enough, but there was no way I could have worn a helmet and got it on a circuit.

I still want one - the solution on the later cars is a lightweight racing seat or removing some stuffing from the standard seat.

Seriously considering replacing these:

Citroen C6 2.7 Lignage

and supercharged MX5 1.8 with 225bhp

With these:

Although I could be tempted to keep the MX5 and just replace the C6 with the Tesla, but it's the Model X that has me excited for the first time in a long time, especially when you actually investigate range concerns and find that on [my] longer journeys, it would add very little time on if any at all

I'm genuinely looking forward to them becoming available in the UK and taking one for a test

yes Washing, claying, machining all combined had taken approximately 18 hours of work, spread over 5 days.

At the start, the car's body was in generally tidy condition with just minor surface scratches all over. However, the swirls were just piss poor and really made the paint so dull - Promised my mate months before that I'd attempt to get round and get it sorted.

Charge!?rofl Til this day, my mate is still pestering me for the bill of replacing the materials spent on it.

Many thanks, sir thumbup

Terrific cars. I had one from new in 1989. Mine was the rarer non turbo. The turbo cars were notorious for lag. Twenty years after selling mine I found myself queuing behind it to get into a Sunday Service. smile

I'm seriously thinking of binning the Porsche idea and going for one. Then again I change my mind at least three times a day biggrin

Can't say A45s do anything for me. This, on the other had... only ever seen one on the road. Stunning. Likely a pain to keep the wheels looking nice, and the interior lacks a bit of flair. But I can forgive that because it's got a proper engine untainted by forced induction.
