DS5 as a daily...

Went and sat in the drivers seat of one yesterday and immediately thought this was a lovely place to be in. Was on a 62 plate with just a nudge over 30k on the clock and had almost every added extra (full leather, massaging seats, sat-nav etc.)- Priced £12,300 at a dealer.

Given this car would of being close to the £30K bracket when new, why are they generally so cheap now?
I love the DS 5 but the general public don't buy them, still the general automatic dismissal of it because it is French, high price new so it just depreciated like every other French car that is not a classic or rare
I'm pretty sure you're right about the general folk dissmissing it for the badgefrown. Shame really, as spec aside they look like fantastic cars to shift about in.

Still not put off, mindbiggrin

Anyone owned one to clarify what they're like to live with?

I really like the DS5.

I wouldn't say that was cheap though.

If you go on Autotrader and look at 4 year old cars which cost similar new they are cheaper still.

Oof now I need on of these

Never seen one on the road frown
One of these overtook me on the M5 a month or two back. Graphite satin finish (I guess a wrap) To say it had presence on the road would have been a massive understatement. It looked like it had just dropped in from another planet amongst all the Audis and Mondeos. Quite an incredible thing to behold.

Looking to buy this for the missus. C350 Edition 125 AMG.

School is starting soon, and she needs a new car, or buy used tyres for her ancient RX which is soon on it's last legs!
Unless that is a mistake it hasn't been serviced for 62000 Miles !!!

Yeah!! I went yesterday, it had a different tyre on each side (1x Bridgestone, Potenza, ContiSportContact, and budget), no oil, no service history apart from a MB health check done at 7k miles, and kerbed wheels.
The car was pretty mint otherwise, it was very very fast (5.4 seconds timed to 60 on Sport), and was a very nice place to be.

Walked away in the end, being faced with a £5000+ bill for my Audi..turns out I was sold a lemon. So that rules out any possobility of a buy right now.

Otherwise, i'm not prepared to blow £13000 on a 4 yr old 3.5 Petrol Merc with no service history.

Earlier ones had a twin setup like the one pictured, later ones have the ovals I believe.

I keep pondering over replacing the ISF with an XKR in 6 months time

Sadly the need for a 4 door means it's probably a pipe dream.

That should be the essential quality of any Lamborghini.

That's a previous-gen RS3. Only had the exhaust on the left-hand side (like the current RSQ3 which uses the same platform). Current-gen MQB RS3 has oval pipes each side.

Nah, you've got a nice big access point to the rear, load the sprogs in through there.

Thanks! Might be seeing it later.. Hope it doesn't get sold knowing cargiant! Or will buyers get put off by the 3.5 V6 PETROL! hehe
Probably.

I have had both in the E350 estate and there is around 15% difference MPG wise.

On the school run of 6 miles the diesels is worse mpg wise.
