I quite like this one but not sure about the colour.

Monte Carlo blue is lovely.

I wouldn't worry to much about the H&K on the e90 M3. My old one had the Business system, which is one up from the standard system (which is supposed to be crap) and this was more than fine. However, I would agree with you on your other must haves.

Mercedes Benz C63 AMG, the one with the 6.3 (or 6.2, your mileage may vary!) V8. They've dropped to around £20k now, which is worth it for the soundtrack alone, even if the potential bork factor is terrifyingly high.

M140i Shadow Edition! Get the feeling this could be the last 6-cylinder RWD hatchback...

Think if I was to go for one, Mineral Grey with Oyster Leather would be the spec to have cloud9

Saw a Suzuki Jimny, yes it gets bad reviews, but why can't we have a narrow, off-road/town-car for village lanes and towns? Be handy alongside a mile-muncher. Not a PH car, but...

Good stuff, guess I'll keep looking at Landcruisers then!

I don't think I'd go for the Amazon simply because I'd eventually need to park the thing. I was looking more at these http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/2017...

We had one as a hire car in Iceland for a week and I totally fell in love with the thing!
They are quite large, but with the reverse camera, they are easy to park. It's a giant box, so you know exactly where the car ends, and you can position it very accurately. It's honestly easy peasy!

E90 M3 again. Like I have been doing for years.

I've got a 2007 335i that I need to sell, and my R53 GP which I absolutely love but I think I should sell them both and get the M3.

I'd like quite a specific spec though.

E90 LCI
DCT
EDC
HK audio at least, but preferably Individual - this is the one thing I'd compromise on.

Dark Grey or Red ideally.

There are 3 E90 M3's with DCT/EDC on Autotrader at the moment frown
You really don't need EDC...

In my opinion, well worth waiting for a car with it.

Agreed, that looks fabulous to me. Better than the dozens of Silverstone's, Blacks and grey's out there!

Alfa Romeo Giulia QF.

I know there's no way I can afford one at the moment, but hoping when I plan to replace my car in around 2 1/2 years I may be able to pick one up for mid £30ks.

Either that or a GT with that wonderful Busso V6. Completely given up on finding a 156GTA and I've previously owned a GT, so if the Giulia is a no-go I may have to go down the second car route for an Alfa V6.

Currently wanting one of these- Clio V6 phase 2 - way above my price range and being French and 15 years old it'll ruin me for sure.
It'd have to be in the Illiad Blue or Inferno Red for me tho, and I'm sure I could live with st interior that looks like its been lifted from a 90's motor and the horribly aligned exhausts for getting to hear the V6 sing away behind me. Horribly impractical for normal everyday use as a bonus biggrin
Its Renault's modern incarnation of the equally ruinous R5Turbo which currently sit at over double the price of a Clio V6.

I think it'll definitely be the last RWD hatch and 6cyl as the next gen 1series is moving to a FWD platform and will be 4pot only.

My RX8 passed the MOT yesterday. woohoo

Just as I was thinking of opening and polishing the ports (I've not done it to a six port Renesis before so it would be a new experience for me) I get offered a car I have been obsessed with since I was little.

A white Volvo 480 Turbo.

So guys. Help.

A car I really like and want to sink my teeth into or a car that has stamped itself on to my consciousness?

Volvo 480 Turbo

For - Classic insurance, cheaper tax, rare, cool (subjective), fun, turbo engine to play with.

Against - Never meet your hero's factor, parts will be a pain in the faff, rare so if I modify it I'll wake up next to a moose's head.

RX8

For - Rear wheel drive, great engine, cheap plentiful parts (due to the number being broken), fun, kind of a boys club (people who know rotary's will know what I mean).

Against - Economy, Tax, loads of modern crap that if it goes wrong I'm not qualified to deal with myself, eighteen inch wheels that are starting to get porous.

What do you think?
As a diehard rotard I'd almost always come down on the doritos on a stick option. But that Volvo is ridiculously cool, especially on Borbets cool

Mind you, stock RX-8 alloys are preposterously st, have an appalling offset fail and are best use as pot plant stands. Get some decent JDM y0 mad tyte rimmage on there, then decide laugh
I seem to recall I once read that those Volvos are very prone to complex electrical problems, I think I read that at the time they were introduced the electrics were very cutting edge so not an easy home fix. Might be worth some googling before you take the plunge.
