Had my first passenger ride in one of these today. I've been in lighter and more powerful cars, but 400 naturally aspirated bhp is just something else. Sounds absolutely stonking when you've got your foot in too, you just have to be doing about 90mph to really hear it getting wound up, otherwise it's limosine quiet. The way it accelerates is surreal, it's so stable and muted until you reach the last 2000rpm of the gear you are in, and the feeling of all that mass accelerating - it really does feel heavy, but incredibly strong. It's like accelerating a lump of granite! It also has the best induction noise of any car I've heard. Mmmmmmm....

JayTee94 said: Mk1 (facelift) Ford Focus 1.6 Zetec. Not really the stuff of obsession, the mk1 Focus, but I had a 1.6 Zetec Ebony a few years ago that was pretty good. Nice to drive (if slow), full leather, heated seats, climate pack, tinted windows, reversing sensors...a match for my S60 in terms of kit. Not what you expect from a Focus.

Went out in one last week at Gaydon and can't get the bloody things out of my tiny mind now.
Want. So much want. Actually it could possibly be worse. I think it might be need. Bugger.

Sod the fuel consumption, it's the terrible ride and handling that gets me! ( is the steering wheel actually attached to the front wheels by anything? I don't really care about all the hybrid stuff, which pretty much just works, but as it's a £35k car, why, why, why oh why, didn't they spend more than 37p on the ride and handling (and probably more than 82pence on the interior plastics) Has anyone from GM ever driven a 320d? I suspect not............... ;-)

I am back to Ford Fiesta Zetec S. This Example! It looks in decent condition without rust on the rear arches (like some examples) and I also quite like the silver. If it were mine I would re-trim the steering wheel and gearstick to factory spec. Maybe also change the seats as they are looking a little tired.
