Back to the FTO, turns out it din't need a clutch but a gearbox centre bearing and seal as well as a clutch slave cylinder and no doubt clutch where gearbox oil and clutch fluid may have ruined the friction plate. So instead of buying the parts and rebuilding the gearbox myself (£150) or getting reconditioned box (£400+) I have bought another FTO with a reconditioned box for £350. Man maths rule.
After driving the old mans XJR-S this weekend, I keep thinking I need a Jaguar in my life. I'm not normally a fan of silver cars with black interiors (especially on cars like Jaguars, I think they should all be blue or green with cream leather!), but this looks really sharp. V6 engine promises decent economy on longer runs, but isn't too slow either. Would be a nice companion alongside the MINI when the Range Rover is sold.

As you say they are ridiculous amount of car for the money with reasonable economy to boot.

...I prefer the original GR bumper to the GPX one as well.
