Does the RS3 not have oval rear exhausts, on both sides?
oooooooohhh yes, that sounds right to me. Hmmmmmmm ?
Earlier ones had a twin setup like the one pictured, later ones have the ovals I believe.
That's a previous-gen RS3. Only had the exhaust on the left-hand side (like the current RSQ3 which uses the same platform). Current-gen MQB RS3 has oval pipes each side.
top answer. Good work sir.

Yummy I love the colour & the additional bodykit plus wheels

I may get flamed for this, the interior doesn't do it for me, I'd rather the black alcantara sport interior as I've gone off leather.

I'm currently considering chopping my E39 for a Jap turbo saloon , a Chaser Tourer V appeals as do Evo 5s
I really really love the look of that one, I am looking for a four door bit of JDM goodness but budget means I'll probably be around IS300 territory frown

I keep pondering over replacing the ISF with an XKR in 6 months time

Sadly the need for a 4 door means it's probably a pipe dream.
Nah, you've got a nice big access point to the rear, load the sprogs in through there.
No sprogs thankfully! Just ageing parents and I need sufficent space for my old mans wheelchair.

IF they depreciate enough then that it a possibility but having looked at classifieds they are way out of budget. Brother owns an XFR saloon and driving that is what made me want something with the same engine.

After reading RR I want one of these.

I'm not too up on my Corvettes, but is that a ZR-1?

New model Audi Rs3.
Saw my first one today, Holy st what a noise!
It was actually in a car park so the owner had started it which grabbed my attention. Stood like a saddo with my mouth open as he drove away silly

Pity that they're soo expensive, maybe in a few years if a golf R doesn't tempt me first.

^^^ I could be wrong, but I think the C6 one is a ZR1? (not ZR-1)

The ZR-1 I think was 1989 and Lotus had quite a bit of input to it

Have a funny feeling the Lotus Carlton may have shared some parts with it too, including the gearbox?

Noo, way too old.
I think it's a C4, the ZR-1 are C6's
Not all the ZR1's are C6. There was a C5 ZR1, a C4, and a C3. believe that's a C4. So 89 ish to 96

This Evo X

Discounted the X after viewing one and finding that the boot was too small for a wheelchair. Still doesn't stop me from perusing the MLR classifieds regularly. That particular X is fettled to 440bhp, I'm guessing the performance will be on par to the limited run FQ440MR so a sub 4 second 0-60!

I have for some reason been lusting over something that is terrible to drive (but great off road, I don't go there much/ever) has a very low tech looking interior and is best avoided from what the autocars of this world tell me.
Still want one though.

I don't think it is a C4 ZR-1 as it doesn't have the squared off rear lights.

Hired one in Mexico last week, dreadful but great fun at the same time, now wasting time on Autotrader.

Just a better run around, got a swift atm and overtaking can be meh as lack of grunt

Fabia vRS with the 1.9 130 pd motor, get a mild remap and it'll be a nice run around

Heads all over the show

BMW 5 series

The E39 is hands down the best looking 5 series ever.

but the youngest one is 2003

the E60, great cars but the looks are a bit meh, but 5K gets you a nice one.

E34 and F10 are much better looking 5 Series than the E39 and E60 IMHO, and despite loving E24's all my driving days I've never 'got' the looks of the boxy E28.

I've got 2 completely different kinds of affordable cars to be had for under 1k when my Audi lease ends that i fancy.

On one hand there's the PH2 Clio 172. Always wanted one and i really need to get my hot hatch itch scratched once and for all.

Then there's the GEN2 Lexus GS300. Bit old-man ish but they're uber reliable and quite fancy an automatic, rwd, 3.0 six barge.
