thats is awful in the same way as the new Honda Civic Type R......lots of go yes, but definitely lots of show.

truly hateful looks unless youre under 25 with a baseball cap (sorry to those guys who do those You Tube car reviews who are clearly well north of 45 but still like to wear such head gear).....
Ok, can I take it back and swap it for an Aston Martin Vulcan? (must have flames too)

This Atom.

I like the spec. I like the seats. I like the Batmobile style aero screen.

My RX8 passed the MOT yesterday. woohoo

Just as I was thinking of opening and polishing the ports (I've not done it to a six port Renesis before so it would be a new experience for me) I get offered a car I have been obsessed with since I was little.

A white Volvo 480 Turbo.

So guys. Help.

A car I really like and want to sink my teeth into or a car that has stamped itself on to my consciousness?

Volvo 480 Turbo

For - Classic insurance, cheaper tax, rare, cool (subjective), fun, turbo engine to play with.

Against - Never meet your hero's factor, parts will be a pain in the faff, rare so if I modify it I'll wake up next to a moose's head.

RX8

For - Rear wheel drive, great engine, cheap plentiful parts (due to the number being broken), fun, kind of a boys club (people who know rotary's will know what I mean).

Against - Economy, Tax, loads of modern crap that if it goes wrong I'm not qualified to deal with myself, eighteen inch wheels that are starting to get porous.

What do you think?

Damn that Volvo is aging well (or at least, looks ace today!) - cant remember when I last saw one... and that one does look well.

Heated seats too I'm assuming?

The Mrs' brother can get me a brilliant deal through his toyota friends/family type scheme, the CVT in his Lexus NX doesn't bother me as much as I thought it would so this would be the same, all the reviews seem good (except the box, but i've already said it's not that bad) I REALLY like the looks, the interior is a nice place to be... And I'm freaking out about the future of diesels....

A blue one please.

Along with quite fancying and ND MX-5, i was having a peruse for some other cars to go on the list. Not much takes my fancy really... But i will say, two Peugeots are on there.

208 GTi and 308 GTi 270 by Peugeot Sport.

The latter seems like a particularly impressive bit of kit. And, for a 4 cylinder turbo, it sounds rather characterful as well.

Haven't read a truly bad word about it. So definitely on the list as i suspect, at 6ft 3 i might have some issues with an MX5. When i sat in one i had to kinda look under the sun visor in order to see out...

Good work, that man!

If only they made an estate... (I'm not fond of SUVs, even the well thought out NX).

Odd that they went with a CVT unless that's what all the hybrid range uses. I had the NX as a courtesy car when my ISF went in for some work. Box wasn't that bad, I've driven worse.
