I'm not a fan of the 156 GTA. Bit of a tarts handbag.
Wash your bloody mouth out....Compared to the 147 GTA the 156 is a little lacking in the day to day livability front.
This is pretty much perfect to me....

So, sleepless nights result in great car searches! And, here it is.
I recently started working form BMW, whilst I have never been a massive fan (my car history is distinctly Audi) I have been given access to some great vehicles. I have been driving a 2016 M235i and returning home on Saturday, I managed to get this car completely sideways on a roundabout near work.
Not out of control, not a massive slide, just a very slight out of shape for quite a distance on both sides one after the other. I think the whole BMW thing clicked with me. I owned an Exige S back in the late 2000's and it was definitely not a playful near the limit although probably faster.
They make a great car! I also see these going up in value considerably like the Coupes.

Also located just outside Genoa - so the trip home would be tasty too!

Is there not a chap on here Craig(?) who has 3 Dakar Yellow 'M' cars? He might be interested!
After travelling 1000 miles in the Vantage this week and 1500km home in a C Class they really are not that comfy.
Thinking of chopping the Vantage in for a Lightweight cheap sports car (Caterham / Lotus) and buying one of these for the long distance jaunts;
Bentley Arnage
Last of the proper Bentleys;

I'm definitely still enjoying the MX5 at the moment, so certainly not looking to change. But my next car will definitely be a bit more spacious and more of a GT - we've been doing a lot of trips up to Oxford to see friends recently.
Something like this rather appeals;

I was talking to a chap about an MX5 idea he had the other day.
He wants to find a decent Mk1 MX5 for under £1,500 so he can change it to a 1.8 or 2.0 and supercharge it. With other modifications he was looking at close to £3,000 in the end.
So I said...
"Why not buy an SLK 230 Kompressor for £2.000 and keep the change?"

I know they are not without their faults, but I think these are good value.He wants to find a decent Mk1 MX5 for under £1,500 so he can change it to a 1.8 or 2.0 and supercharge it. With other modifications he was looking at close to £3,000 in the end.

BMW M760Li X-drive
Stupid name.
Astonishing Car.
Awaiting typical BMW 7 Series depreciation......
A friend of mine has been driving around in one of these as part of his job recently. He spends a lot of time in cars at the top end of the executive market, and he's been raving about it. Stupid name.

I can't imagine they'll sell many and is it even coming in RHD?
It's here in rhd; I spent some time looking around the car that Sytner Nottingham have in whilst at the annual Alpina meet last Sunday. £135k basic price will put a lot of people off but they have dropped the 'standard' 760Li from the range so if you want a V12 - this is it. Sadly the salesman said the brief with the car said it was to be the last BMW V12 engine.......610bhp and 800Nm and a 3.7 0-60 make it the fastest accelerating BMW ever made..... and it is easily the most luxurious..... and it has shaken off the Bangle looks of the E65/66.
