Pictures of decently Modified cars [Vol. 2]

I like that, lowered without the 'stance'.
I have seen Chip Foose do something similar on several cars, though that was more cutting the brackets down to bring them closer to the body and adjusting the bumper shape to tightly hug the body lines.
In this case I think you could maybe take an inch or so off the back of the bumpers and the wrap around bits at the side, plastic weld and re-paint. Only those that know would notice it.
As others have said trivial nitpicking though. Tidy car.

Out of interests sake, what else would you do with the bumper?
Take the big sticky out bit away and it'd look much better or extend forwards underneath by way of some sort of splitter perhapsIn this case I think you could maybe take an inch or so off the back of the bumpers and the wrap around bits at the side, plastic weld and re-paint. They look well engineered but I can't help feeling that both cars miss the point of the charm of the originals. A big V6 will weigh so much more as to skew the 309's weight distribution and handling balance while the Rallye's defining characteristic was the highly tuned eight-valve engine. Changing the wheels on the 309 is a mistake too. Those original Speedlines are probably the best looking alloys ever made.
That's a UK rallye though. Little more than a trim level compared to the proper homologation French rallye. The GTi-6 in that must be fun though from what I understand a 106 gti engine (or if you want to keep in 8v a VTR lump) would have been a simpler conversion. irocfan said:
Hot Wheels have been doing a cool version of that for a fewyears now, i casually bought one for a young relative but i liked it so much i kept it for myself. Also available in blue, black, white, silver and yellow.
Yeah, Barbaric... I've got all except the yellow one I did have to buy another white version for my daughter who wanted one "just like Daddy's car". Bless her. Especially weird of her when my 1st-gen is blue anyway
As to the wide-body one above, it's a Japanese-built IMSA racer-style kit. Mariah Motorsports sell the bodypanels. Dunno if I'm allowed to post links to Sp**dh*nt*rs articles on PH? I'll give it a try and see if it gets moderated into oblivion, lol.
Another pic for if the link gets nuked
