Its statements like that that make me think the writer is full of st. There is nothing in that engine that couldn't be made by hundreds of engineering companies in his state, never mind the rest of the country.

Not overly keen on the bonnet vent, but then I suppose it needs a fair bit of cooling directed on the 360bhp 1.4 lump - Love the rest of it mindsmile

Engine breathed on and moved from the front into that back:

This car is claimed to be able to reach a top speed of 245 km/h and can reach speeds of 100 km/h in 4.7 seconds.

car was making an estimated 1150BHP at only 1.35 bar of boost, based on the fuel flow going in.
If they have got a persumably sub 4l "road based" engine to make > 1100bhp on only 1.35bar, they have just invented an engine with the best brake specific air consumption ever made.............. So assuming they haven't managed to re-write the laws of physics, i'm calling custard on this one !!

Re the 500's above, a PH'er (can't remember who) has a thread about his own 500, with suitably silly power levels.

This car was featured on the front of the Jegs catalog that arrived today. May well have been posted on here before. It is profoundly bad-ass.

Regarding the Tempest :
Is this a Nelson Racing Engines car ?
They have built a similar one, but in blue, it resides in Germany now.
