Volkswagen created the GTi badge. Then Peugeot built a car to put it on biggrin

Never been a fan of Golfs of any era, with the exception of the Mk4 (i think) R32. Putting stretched tyres on them does even less for me.

Pug boxes are where it's at.

Oooooooooooohhhh...... yes please cloud9

I love that. Takes me back to my youth....the 205 Mi-16 conversions etc.

Did they all have that splitter as standard? The more I'm looking at them the more I'm liking them

Going from your user name I guess the above are E21's?
They are e21's yes. They're not the best model 3 series, but they are the first. (and the best)

The road car has an Alpina spoiler, the race car has a Ronal one.

I quite like what both VW & Pug did when they copied the first hot hatch, the BMW 2000tii. Obviously they removed some power and went with front wheel drive, but I guess that's enough for going shopping? whistle

hehe

Not on that particular car unfortunately. As a child of the 70's, the original Manta is just one of my favourite designs & I really liked the look of that one when I saw it. My Dad's brother had a beautiful one in red many moons ago.

I can't really get excited about much from 1980 onwards, but Interceptors, Bmw CSL's, R107 Mercs, Audi 100 coupe's, Mantas, original Celicas, 240Z's, Capri 3.0's, Mk2 RS2000's - that was a decade!

Same as. 1987 is about as modern as I've got really.

Well the wheels for one thing, they look daft. Looks a bit low at the back too, like it's running negative rake?

Lovely otherwise, though. smile

Aren't they supposed to emulate Moby Dick's?

Turbine style alloys were pretty common on lots of M cars. I like them personally, but I guess aesthetics were secondary anyway.

I've also had a soft spot for the Z3M, especially the Coupe but those wheels look a bit odd on that; not ghastly, but just ill-fitting. Love the colour though! cool
