I was a bit hesitant about how it would look with the extended and widened body, but it actually work really well.

Much better proportioned than that Venom GT mess.

Given there are other pictures of a red E30 with a halfway finished V10 conversion outside a small lock up I suspect it is a home build effort.

There are a few of these conversions taking place, couple UK based, a few Scandinavian an American builds on 'VW Vortex'

I know people use the phrase too much with respect to lowered cars, but that really does look like the front suspension has collapsed. smile
It does but if you watch the video the car rises up when the engine is switched on, like an old Citroen would.
That noise isn't the engine, that's the air ride making all that noise hehe
If the engine was on, I don't think you'd hear much at all, it's quite loud and has had quite a bit done to it! He built it pretty much from the ground up and put the air in himself, I'd say it is a very nicely modified car but I can imagine some hard core classic lovers absolutely hating it hehe

It's not like he's ruined a unique car, there's plenty of them about. smile

Robert's Imp will always be the king of them on air, just got his fresh paint and it looks fantastic.

It's still in progress but this guy is building a car with a self-built V12 made out of two turboed Supra engines.

Holy crud that's nuts. Love the engineering balls to make it, why no 2x twin turbos and nitrous!

He'll have to get really serious about the chassis pretty soon though. It has all the torsional stiffness of a banana.

Out of interest though, why does that make the car look better?
