In a similar vein to that beautiful Dodge, I saw Mark Todd's Pontiac GTO hit 199mph at Santa Pod last summer. Sure the funny cars are louder and faster, but for some reason seeing this homebuilt car hit such a stupid speed left a lasting impression on me. And oh my word it looked good!

Sounded nice too...

I do like cars that seem to have very little done to them, yet look absolutely gorgeous. Makes all the over paid, over rated modern car designers look idiots, unless they’re being compelled to follow the company design philosophy. I often imagine UK cars from the past that would be perfect for this. Jag XJR? http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a... This is as near as I’ve seen on a UK car, anyone any others?

The styling of the Rover is +50yrs ! Looks more modern than anything you can buy now in my opinion !!!

That Rover looks great. Was thinking the other day how other cars deserve the 'Singer' treatment.

When you get to that level of race car performance; fully home built isn't always possible unless your day job is building MSA/FIA taggable race car chassis smile

Ok ok, so not home built as in home built but home built as in not a professional race car outfit a la the euro funny car teams.

Point is it's a picture and it's a decently modified car as per the thread title.

Ok ok so when I say modified car, I mean modified car in the sense that it was built from scratch....

No it is a modified car. It started life as a stock Pontiac GTO smile

The only information I can see from the sources about the location, is that the Precision billet 7675 turbo is hidden smile.
