I've head a few but I genuinely cant decide whether you guys (or at least one or two of you) are being serious about riveted wheels!!??

I love the Mercedes esp the split rim wheels, beautiful wheels and suit the car perfectly imo.

Its not the aesthetics that's the issue, its the possibility that someone genuinely thinks that they're riveted!

Can you imagine how often you would have to pump up a set of riveted rims? Mate of mine had a 911 turbo in the mid 90's on a proper set of BBS split rims with the seals failing, they leaked air like a flactulent geriatric after a Vindaloo party in a bubble bath.

I think those riveted rims look great and they're period correct. I'm not much of a Merc' fan usually but that's very nicely done.

I've got 'rivets' on my 90's BMW but they're a royal PITA to keep clean. smile

Nice looking pocket rocket, being picky, I'd have chrome mirrors.

no I know they're not riveted - however I didn't know if they were split rims or fake split rims so rivet was just easier for a generic name calling

Not for me...would put chrome wires on it with low profiles. Those wheels look nasty.

Wires are too prissy for this one.

thanks , its got quite a history that car ,

originally a 3 litre I bought, sold her and bought her back , unfortunately the chap took a decent standard black interior and replaced it with a Grey Carla check interior from a 2.8i !!

I have been looking for over a year for a standard black mk1 facelift interior they seem to be like hens teeth these days .......so if anyone knows of one for sale , please let me know
cheers

I agree the wheels are ok, if it is packing a V8 and large brake conversion. It looks like retro style modifications and rather cool.

Nice.

I'm not a huge fan of fitting engines from other marques but I bet that goes well.
