Work in progress which already deserves to be in here, imo.

Oh my, that is special. I wouldn't like to be in it if anything went wrong at full chatter mind, not the sturdiest of automobiles!
Brilliant! I've had a few of these in sedate form, I'd like to have ago in an open airfield. And that's where my enthusiasm ends. Lol.

That's a blast from the past. Used to see this around when it was running 2 R5GTT engines in it.

Probably going back around 10 years, but my first thought when I saw this car in person was "why has he lacquered the primer" lol

This just popped up on Facebook. 254BHP, by all accounts...

I think this would be more fun if it looked like a standard mini.

Might struggle putting down 250 brake through 10" rims & 155's though? smile

I'm not talking about the wheels.

Sorry - only now I'm home and seeing pics on a full size screen, instead of a tiny, cracked phone one, I can see just how modified it is.

Not sure if should be here or sleeper thread really

And the spec from the ad

I love it as a sleeper, I love it as a budget build and I love it as a Volvo owner but I don't see it as a decently modified car. It's on cut springs for a starters..

Agreed. I think it would look better with some chrome bumpers too, and Minilites look nicer in silver. Is that electric power steering? Clever...
The steering is from a Corsa I believe. A fairly renown mod in the Ford world.

Welcome, DanielSan. Admitting that you have a problem is the first step. Well done. How do you feel?
Good and yet at the same time oh so bad.....

Ok, it ain't actually a car, and the purists might find it a bit much, but i LOVE this modern Power Wagon rebuild:

Sadly sold by dele for a measly £8k.

This video featuring the car made me snigger too.
https://vimeo.com/24352879/comments

He should of lost the bonnet bra though!
the reason it got 'only' £8k is because it's ste... IMO the phrase should have been "sold for an excessive amount of £8k"

Do agree though that the seats look lovely!
A lot of work put in to this car.

AirRex air suspension.
BBS LM's.
Completely new custom interior with Recaro bucket seats.
Double DIN and new speaker system.
Fully Cleaned engine bay
Custom mats
Private plate
Peformance mods arent needed on a showcar, however this is road legal.
The new owner has SORN'd it.
As you'll expect that cost a lot of money... and have you seen MKIV R32 values? This car has sub 40k miles

One with 55000 miles is selling for £10-11k..
Putting a lot of money into a car =/= Putting a lot of work into a car.

Does that mean the pillock has shaved everything off and mounted all the reservoirs under the dash like a lot of other vdub owners?

Cleaned or smoothed engine bay is probably one of the most work intensive modifications.

Limitless Motorworks Cayman

The owner blew up the flat six on his first track outing, so entrusted Limitless to stuff a 424HP Ford Coyote V8 midships instead.

That's my friend Leannes! It's such a stupidly fun car, she's just swapped it for a lightly modified CRZ.

They have gone to town on the thing and gone quite all out. Most of the work was done by her & Scott (her partner). Really surprised me seeing it here hehe

They know it's retarded & a bit of a niche but it's been great, reliable, comfy as anything and they had the interior totally redone (quilted purple/black leather throughout).

It's also surprisingly nice to drive. Like a very comfy van hehe

Some may see that as sacrilege but I think it's fantastic.

Needs a GT3 style rear wing though.
