arent they the removable silencer things? I remember a bloke local to me having a similar thing on his Subaru. You can remove the middle bit and turn the exhaust up from 11 to 23!

Half of these getting posted up are daft posing wagons totally destroying any sort of performance heritage they had. Such a waste. Should stick on EDition38 and the like. I cannot wait until the stance fad has worn off.
<off into the depths of the internest to find so real cars untainted by this stance pish.

<off into the depths of the internest to find so real cars untainted by this stance pish. erm why you having a dig at edition 38? its not all about "stance", sure it does look awesome once done properly, i know pistonheaders wont like many cars if not all the cars on my photobucket. BUT the cars pictured have had ton's of blood sweat and tears put into them, no matter how bad/good they look, were all car guys. appriciate the fact that there being saved from the scrap heap anb being kept on the road. you're looking for the "cars that have lots of work done on them and somebody likes them" thread - this is the "decently modified" thread

eye of the beholder innit but usually in this thread, functional mods for performance are counted higher than neutral performance styling mods, which are counted higher than mods which negatively affect performance in any way

I spent a fair while on Ed38 mostly hunting for parts, and it did my head in people destroying perfectly good cars with stretch,"lows" and 'bags, and its tainted the vw scene to the point where its not something i really want to be a part of.
I appreciate the work that goes into any car but it doesnt mean its decently modified. Yes people say its subjective, and it is, but i just think its a waste of time dumping a performace car on its arse and making the wheels touch the arch. To me thats not what cars are about, they are not static art.
