Meh, some would say removing the rear seats and installing a roll cage into a saloon car is ruining it.

It's just a shame cars without wheel arches are illegal on the UK's roads.

doesn't stop people doing it though!

Most of the fenderless guys have some simple fenders that they put on for long distance that are easily removed by undoing a bolt or two.

Notthat thereis anything wrong with fenders mind:

Whom? Not people who are interested in performance cars, that's for sure. And people who aren't interested in things don't have valid opinions on them.

Unless you're saying that the kind of person who thinks a slamming an RS4 to the ground, dramatically impeding the way it drives and turning it into a tart's mobile palace are also the same kind of people who think that the act of removing rear seats and installing a rollcage in a 4-door saloon- an act designed largely to make it both safe and legal in the various classes in which it competes- constitutes ruining it?

Or is it a poor attempt at a jab because I all-but said your taste in cars was st? Trust me, I'm not the only person in this thread who holds that view.

On the subject of Audis:

900whp of awesome

Super cool.

Well me for one, unless competition rules demand it.

If you want a two-seater performance car, why on earth would you start with something with hundreds of kilograms of extra metal designed to carry four people? To my mind, the art making a loony performance saloon is in making it as fast as possible whilst maintaining the practicality of the car. Otherwise you might as well just start with a sports car.

More of a difference in taste, some couldn't give monkeys if the car is fast as long as they like the look of it.

I think the reaction to this is a bit OTT and from many I would imagine the reaction is based on the opinions of the masses rather than their own individual findings.

The Audi isnt my cup of tea as i am all for function over style but its not a horror and looks like the modifications have been exicuted well.

This isnt the style thread, its about well exicuted modifications in my mind....

Stanceworks in "car that's not undrivably low" shocker. I like.

E30 M3 with staggered 18" BBS Style 5 wheels

And a built S38B36 with a 3.8 stroker

Is that BMW running an enormous amount of rear camber, or is it just a weird camera lens? I think it's just the camera but it looks very odd.

the problem i have is as soon as see 'stance works' watermark i just know the car has gone 150% over decently modified, pushed too far. Clean good looking but always something that just ruins it.. My 2pence.
