I don't think theres anything to 'get'. Its just a colour.
I went on to explain why I don't get black as a car colour but you haven't quoted it for some reason :s

Any colour looks better than black, its boring and you lose most of the styling, its ste

Unless you like black cars, then black cars are great.

Most definitely is.

Mind you, the colour choice isn't the best. I'd much rather have a lurid 70's green or orange. I'd even take white over the gloss black.

Absolutely, I just don't understand why anyone would choose black over any other colour for a car

You lose so many styling details in black paint

I'm really struggling to understand what you mean, style details are best seen in sunshine where the surface reflects the sunlight. Those reflections are best seen at maximum contrast. white reflections on black background. The worst colour for seeing the form of a car body is in fact white because the sun's reflection cannot be distinguished against its background.

For the record I always specify black when ordering cars.

I guess it is purely down to personal taste, I personally think black subtracts from just about every car in the same way you probably think it adds to pretty much any car

Wouldn't the world be boring if we all agreed all the time smile

Best looking 996 ever?

996 GT3 with RSR bits. N/A 400+WHP
Best looking? No.
Decently modified? Most definitely yes. It's basically a road legal RSR built for lapping the Ring, you have to love that.

No, really, it isn't.
I love the conviction that your opinion is correct and everyone else wrong.

It's almost as if personal taste doesn't exist...

An oft trotted-out line on both this thread and the badly-modified cars one. Personal taste can be downright wrong though.

This guy's personal taste tells him that he has done a good job of modifying his car and picking his clothes. His personal taste is wrong. Very very wrong.

What a banker does with his bonus is his or her own business. The fact that she has blinged her merclaren in gold and red and got herself a Florida groom is her own business too!

Has someone photoshopped his feet smaller?

Quite. That road-going 911 RSR, debate on colour aside, is anything but wrong. Or, in other words, right.

Did Mercedes make a C63 Black Edition estate? These guys did. And then supercharged it for good measure.

Pretty lairy.

I like that. Reminds me of the various prototype/modified M3 tourings over the years.

I'd prefer they left the Benz star on the grille but understand that it's a rolling advert for a business.
