Have we had Tim Allens '68 Camaro 427 yet? (I'd be surprised if not but it's worth a look nevertheless)

Have a look at the episode of Jay Leno's Garage where Tim presents it!

I wasn't there this year, but last couple of years on and off, I saw plenty of them edit: I'm talking about Technoclassica, not essen motor show, if that's what you meant, sorry
Yeah I was meaning Essen Motor Show, didn't realise they had anything else there.

Except according to the Stanceworks article:

http://www.stanceworks.com/2016/12/dkubus-mike-pol...

...it's a standard car, complete with automatic gearbox, that's just been lowered, had massive-offset wheels fitted and arches riveted on. It's quite a long way from Dkubus hill climb car and is just for promoting stance-crap to other stance-ists for them to buy from his shop.

His hill climb car probably has a place on this thread; it looks awesome and is functional. This car, however, is just stance-bks. Admittedly, at least he went easy on the camber.
No you donut. hehe He's used the race/rally version as INSPIRATION for the build. Which is fine. Like sticking forest arches on a Mk2 that's only ever been a road car cool

It is. However, the leather, pic 8, left bolster, is cracked to the extent that it won't be long until it splits. I know a man who could sort that laugh

Those BBS are a bit too ''bling'' for me but the rest looks very nice. I'm not hugely taken with the Nardi steering wheels that everyone has in order to be individual either.

So, when you said his car was raced in a 'similar configuration' you meant 'his race car also has riveted arches and wide wheels'?

Wide arches don't make a race car. Although I'm guessing you don't really understand the difference...

Anyway. The Dkubus car has been compromised as a road car, looks a bit daft and isn't race car. It's functionally compromised and therefore badly modified and not for this thread.

Quite like that 6-series though. Ditch the stretched tyres, give it a proper alignment and raise the ride height and it'd be perfect.

Why stop there? Why not return it completely to factory standard? After all, the BBS wheels are probably harder to clean than the originals, and have thinner tyres. It's functionally compromised and therefore badly modified and not for this thread. rofl

What I ACTUALLY posted was "and that model car WAS raced in a similar configuration"

So whilst I'm talking about SLCs in general. You assumed I meant the ACTUAL car on SW (I wasn't)

Then the tried to make some connection between a modified road car and someone elses modified road car turned into a hill climb car.

And then you batter on about how wide arches don't make a race car. confused Which is just missing my point. Which was, that when people modify their ROAD cars, sometimes they take INSPIRATION from a race/rally version.

Here's a pic from an earlier time. AMG supported works race car SLC with fat arches and a front splitter SIMILAR to the SW car. I wonder where the owner of the SW car got his inspiration from?

You seem to take everything VERY literally. Have you been tested? laugh
