And thank you for(indirectly) giving me the inspiration to work hard for my first 911.
Rod. I never thought of it that way, but that is indeed a great legacy. I don't know if I'm a fan of the modern Porsche lineup, but the 911 has got to be one of the greatest design achievements of all time. - Adrian (current 911 Turbo owner)

If you like the car or not the 911 is a design icon that set the bench mark for production sports and supercars for over fifty years. You can tell how old someone is by what 911 poster they had or favorite toy they played with as a child. 935 SE Turbo for me. A sad day for car lovers everywhere.

Very sad news
Recently I was out in my 3.2 Carrera on a trip with a F430, DBS, DB9, R8, and McLaren MP4-12C. At a petrol station another customer came over and said to us 'nice cars, but the Porsche is still the prettiest'
His first 911 design is a timeless classic that is as much a piece of art as a car

Its a very rare thing in life that someone designs something that is just simply "right". The 911 is one of those rare things, Mr Porsche will be remembered well and for a long time to come - another rare thing!

RIP FA Porsche,
when you ask people what car they would like to own in the future, the Porsche 911 is always towards the top of the list, even the majority of girls have heard of the Porsche 911
