This is true. The sea is flat, and although Holland is pretty low-lying, have you seen the height that yer average Dutch chap reaches? Chapesses tend to be tremendousy tall, too.
Good point. I'd not taken into account the more stunted nature of the East Anglian. So 'looking east' is at best about shipping.

Mmmmm Dutch girls. Tall and liberal. smile

Classic. Lotus give out a vote of confidence, and a few weeks later....

Any football supporter has seen this dozens of times.
Well at last we'll perhaps find out some of the substance behind the whispers and rumours. At least it looks like DRB-HICOM are taking their role seriously.

Seriously, you couldn't make this stuff up ;-(

Lotus, have a look over there >>>>>>>> at JLR. They realised you don't need a massive song and dance about things, just make some cars people want to buy and bingo, you're sorted !(although tbh, it did take JLR about 15 years to work that out..... ;-)

Funnily enough, I was thinking that the best buyer for Lotus would be Tata. They seems to understand what British brands such as Jaguar and Land Rover should stand for in the marketplace, and Lotus would be a complimentary non-overlapping brand to have in their portfolio.
Lotus could have a cheap to create range with an Elise evolution, an updated Evora and maybe something based on the new F-type aluminium structure as a top-end Lotus but with less conservative styling and less 'luxury' . JLR have a supply of nice V6 Supercharged 3 litres, a big V8 and a supply of Ford Focus ST engines that go into the Evoque. What more do Lotus need?

Haha Tata joke right??
You should see the sh$tstorm they're creating in the supply chain for LR. They're bringing on Indian suppliers and lead times for parts are becoming monthly instead of daily. Give it around two to three years for Indian 'quality control' standards to start impacting both Tata's UK brands.
