Came across a few old photo's. As the title says, they didn't quite make the final hurdle onto the production line.
Ill kick it off with two cars I really liked back in the day.
Ferrari Pinin and Lotus Etna

Lancia Fulvia concept from a few years back. I promised myself I'd buy one if it made production. Perfect blend of modern & retro.

One of these with the 4.6 V8 but supercharged by the factory would have been great...

The ultimate VAG prick-tease:

I've lost count of how many guises it's turned up in (Seat, VW, Skoda)... and the number of times it's been cancelled or not cancelled depending on who you speak to.

FFS, VBH even test drove the second re-launch of the whole thing (The VW Bluesport which will supposedly also be a Porsche and an Audi, depending on which way the wind was blowing at whichever motorshow was happening that month).

Oh, and while we're on about VAG, what about the GX3?

Tremendous enthusiast reception only for the lawyers to kill it off because they feared the lawsuits from the families of the people it would kill. Apparently.

Aston Martin Bulldog:

Daihatsu trek - the car that turns into a tent!

GKN FF - the British Audi Quattro

Maserati Boomerang:

Zagato z-eco - drive to the city limits from your suburban home, then ride the rest of the way to beat congestion!

Jaguar XK180 - they could have at least made the XK look like this!

Cadillac Cien - then their average driver age might fall below 70

Jaguar Bertone B99 - Helloooooooo Jaguar, you could make this into an XF-based coupe and wipe the floor with the CLS and 6-series!
Or base it on the XJ LWB and take the fight to the Rolls Ghost and Bentley Continental!

All very nice cool

The M3 is all the better for being on the 18s - they suit the car so well.
