This is a post in answer to M3john asking about the whereabouts of the Red Turbo 2 B253 GCJ.
My friend owned the car from around 1988 to 1990, I have uploaded the image to this post for you to view - somewhere along the line it's seemed to lose it's original wheels! My Friend loved these cars and always wanted one, then he bought B253 GCJ. I always remember this car even to this day, I was 23 at the time and use to drive it regular - it was an amazing car, it was very quick and used to go through the gears so so fast and the sound of it! I still remember like it was yesterday!

Wow, now that's a turn up for the books ! smile
It seems like your friend then sold it onto my mates uncle (John) as that would have been around the time that he bought it. The wheels were changed by himself - for better or worse I'll let you decide but, a sign of the times I guess.
Not sure of the condition of B253 CGJ when your friend sold it but my mates uncle had (as you can see) bodywork done on the car before he actually started using it along with, so I'm lead to believe, some engine work. A fittermeant of a fairly substantional stereo set up along with a mild re-trim and some serious fixed bucket seats all happened at the same time too.

On a side note, if there is anyone who is reading this that lives in / around / close to the London area that happens to own one of these could I be so bold as to ask if you'd let me have a closer look round your car and live out one of my childhood dreams? spin I never did get the chance as a kid to have a good poke around my mates uncles car above and now, at the ripe old age of 36 I'm beginning to think my chance may have slipped by back in the early 1990's.

Would have to be Pearl White, Black or perhaps the Dark Blue if ever I were lucky enough to have the £ for one, but they have really taken off price wise over the last few years. Circa 2004 I was offered a Pearl White one for £7,000, but couldn't sell my 911SC in time.
Just realised that I have never seen one on the road !
Had 2 Gordini Turbos ( a white Le Car then a Silver one ) and probably 20 R5GT Turbos ( never ever will I forget that drive of my life in my 1986 C reg Pearl White GT Turbo down the Route Napoleon to St Tropez in July 1993 and I still have one that il never sell )

Often wonder where the red Turbo 2 that I saw for sale @ a Browns of Loughton in circa summer 1983 ended up, just wished I had taken a photo of it ! It seemed incredibly exotic / very special back then. The numerous Ferraris and Astons that were a regular sight in Loughton High Street at the time, seemed so very dull compared to that Turbo 2.

A guy not far from here is a long term enthusiast owner of a Pearl White one, had a long chat with him years ago, must try to speak to him again.

There is a very smart one that lives in Mojacar. Often seen driving around with a Simca Rally 3.

It hasn't done much more than when you had it Stuart! Kevin the bloke that bought it from you barely used it and I only went to look at it to get a reference point as I was so disillusioned with others I had been to look at when he decided I was a suitable new owner and he offered it to me.
