How much of the car we see in the pictures will make it into production?

Idiots

Get out of yur german boring-box ste and take a look at the new DS5 in showrooms now, it looks just like this.

The production 9 would be very very similar to this physical concept.

Anybody buying an Audi/BMW/VAG needs to leave this website, Its about Petrolheads, not diesel boring wagons.

Emblem behind clear plastic? What a throwback. Excellent. Just excellent.
Yep, back in the days when number plate pilfering was obviously rife I seem to remember a certain clear reflective acrylic plastic (CRAP) fronted car Mmmn...now let me think what it could possibly be scratchchin ..........the initials SM spring to mind rolleyes

Mind you this new Citroen looks really good ........ I wonder if they'll use the first 50 secs from this Beatles "White Album" track when they come to advertise it? wink

I think he has forgotten them lol. People buying Beemas and Audis need to leave? What about those buying M3s & RS4s wink

The car reminds me of a Scirroco from the back, and the front in the first picture reminds me of an Audi A7, not that I think that is a bad thing.

if peugeot own citroen , why do citroen knockout re bodied versions of them, citroen are famous for quirky , cars, they did bugger all between the xm/zantia until the c6. ive never understood why car companies ,such as vw also produce golfs/a3s/leons and then ibizas/polos/a1s, and then passats/a4s, then cayennes/touregs/bentley suv, citroen should stop making crappy little hatches, let peugeot continue

A few points

1. Certainly does look lovely and a step above most competition in segment.
2. Will the value plummet over five years? What are the residuals on the ds3 like at the moment? Citreons re branding could well be working......
3. I cannot believe the tech in the car. Why has no one else picked up on it. I think ( if true!) this sounds brilliant, so long as the handling is not compromised. 166mpg, 295bhp, tiny engine, battery charge in 3.5 hours. Wow....

Fabulous looking car, I really like the styling thats coming out of Citroen these days, there are still some quirky touches there but much better, more normal looking at the same time!

Looks nice except for the overdone nose.

Recently Citroen have great form for bringing out lovely elegant concept cars and then churning out the same old awkward-looking dross in their real product. Time to get some concepts brought into reality, perhaps?

This is why you're not running a profitable car company.

Having the Golf/A3/Octavia/Leon all share a platform saves them millions in development costs.

Very nice shape. Wheels are overdone and clashing with the car though. nono

The ridiculous fascination for rubber-banded, over-designed wheels just leads to the st ride quality with which most modern cars are now afflicted. A shame.

Lovely.

Hats off to Citroen.

They are working hard to produce cars that are different, elegant and distinctive.

I know that VAG is the big bear in the market in terms of sales and impact, but when you look at the staid, slab-sided, ugly monotony of an Audi A8, for example, you have to admire Citroen for having some courage.

Good for them. This car is a lovely looking thing.
Quite, I really like the look of the new DS5. I'd be tempted by one in a couple of years once I'm totally sick of my Golf. That's the problem for Citreon though, I can't imagine many people want to buy new cars from them.
