that's 65kg less then the Artega biggrin
from which they said in the beginning was also something like 1080kg ;-)

still great cars though.

how does the G60 compares to the Artega Hubert...
I bet ist a bit more raw/entertaining?
The Artega drives nice/friendly more a grown up Elise 111R so to speak.

did you also drove the Artega?

Yes I drove the Artega last year. Initially I intended to buy an Artega GT in 2009, when I saw a Farbio GTS at German Artega forum.

The G 60 is much more raw (in a positive sense). The Artega is not as special as the G60. It´s a more pretty Volkswagen and drives like one. Not as boring as a Golf, but not as exciting as a 911 GT3 or Ginetta G60. Steering takes much getting used to (the same with brakes, but I think they amended this). Artega GT exhaust sound is very good from outside, but annoying inside. Opposite is G60. G60 sounds fantastic inside, but outside it is very quiet, till you reach 4000rpm. Then it sounds awesome inside and outside, I like this, because you can drive several characters without using an exhaust air flap as popular in german cars at the moment.
The Artega looks very well and sounds good (if you like uproar), but that´s it. I would prefer a Porsche Cayman R over it every time.
Artega GT would be a nice car if priced at Audi TTRS level, i think.

G60 is something very different

Looks a little awkward from certain angles. DSG only too, which is a disappointment. The G60 is infinitely more desirable to me, this wouldn't get a look in.

Exactly how I feel, this car doesn't appeal to me at all. Regardless of gearbox or weight. The aesthetics of it don't sit well with me.

pictures..... you have to see in real, BOTH. Artega GT is very nice I think, looks a little bit too "female" on pictures.
All my friends are very astonished when they have a look at my G60. It´s very different appearance when you only have seen it on pictures before.

In my opinion G60 looks more male, martial
But this , as always, is a matter of taste.

While I haven't experienced one myself, I can believe you. However it's been around for 5 years or so and I've seen very little from actual owners out there or atleast proof they are selling - That's why I am not surprised.

I think over here people who spend that kind of money not Phers you understand but general public are very brand concious.

They would rather buy a Porsche or A N Other than a car nobody has ever heard of no matter how good it is.

Just my opinion of course.

maybe its a good thing if say VW buys them in for the sporty side?
they already use their R36 engine.
that way they also have a big dealership, they don't have to sell a lot but can use such car for a bit more sporty looking then "boring" Volks Wagens?

I do like the Artega GT, also test drove one, it felt good, it could only do with a more sporty feel in the "to" perfect DSG, so I think some electronic something that can be changed in a more sport setting that you feel it a bit more when changing gears, you can set it also now but ist stil way to refind biggrin

maybe it also can do with a supercharger, so a Artega GT and a GTSC biggrin
