My vote would be for the PAS too.

I remember taking my car to have its MOT and there was a Corsa (circa 2000) on the ramps with the tester checking bushes etc. I know the tester well and he mentioned to me that the car was pulling left on the drive to the garage, so when he had the front end jacked up, he turned the engine on, put the wheels straight and they just kepy on turning to the left. He failed it as a "Power steering Failure" as was bloody dangerous.

He did say that this was common on that type of power steering.

I would get the PAS checked out!
Funny enough, I couldn't help but wonder if an easy way to diagnose would be to just put it up on stands, switch the engine on and see if the wheels swing to the left by themselves!

Yes, and the point I'm making is that Corsa B's and C's don't have EPAS, as suggested above.
I thought people used the columns (the motor is behind the instrument pack) for kit car and classic conversions as it's cheap and an easy swap!

Yes i have a Corsa C that does this. When you turn the engine on with the steering wheel straight it turns to the left very slightly every time and it pulls to the left when driving. The steering pump/motor seems to be the cause. I've had all the tracking/balancing/tyre pressures/suspension arms checked.

These people do recon pumps link £275 rebuilt (i haven't checked the Mariva pump)

Could be a seized piston in the caliper or the hub, hit a curb?

Car will be up on a lift tomorrow. I'll see what happens.

It is not camber.

Lots of advice to reset the power steering. Anyone have a link for how to do this?

Loosen the nuts at the top each strut with both wheels in the air, jiggle the steering to free everything up a bit, tighten nuts back up with wheels straight. Used to help the MK2 Escorts after suspension changes.

Update.

It is the power steering, appears to not know where straight ahead is. On ramps the wheels centre to the left

Going to try and reset it by sitting the car on the straight on and removing battery (unless anyone knows the 'proper' way to do this?)

Failing that, time to get rid.

Measure the circumference of the tyres, and see if they are the same size. Also swap them as mentionedabove.
Ive just bought a Honda S2000 that pulled right when accelerating and left when decelerating.
The rear tyres were brand new Alpha performance stty cheapo's fitted only 2 weeks ago, and was told the car had a full geometry check too.

The tracking was all to cock, despite being done. They had tracked the front wheels perfectly parallel.
Strangly the new tyres were 1/2" difference in sizeconfused
New Hankook tyres have transformed itthumbup

Do you want me to point out the idiocy in your post?

Or will you be able to spot it for yourself?

Being serious - have you tried measuring all fours wheels' geo.? Simply because the wheels are tracking true doesnt mean that this wasnt the source of the problem.

100% the pump.

Lift the car with engine running and the pump pulls the wheels over to the left.

Common fault apparently.
