£35k for that?!
If you're going to do a job, do it properly - yours for almost the same money, double bed (quite comfy I must add!) kitchen shower and the ability to run on pretty much anything vaguely combustible. I've just fitted a new water filtration system for it too, massive tanks under the back for long trips, grey water storage...
and yeah my mate is selling it at the moment, obvious plug is obvious
Is this the one that was partly photo-blogged on PH a couple or years back? If so, where is he advertising it. I'm not sure I can get permission for parking it anywhere useful but I'd like to investigate. If you're going to do a job, do it properly - yours for almost the same money, double bed (quite comfy I must add!) kitchen shower and the ability to run on pretty much anything vaguely combustible. I take you need some form of HGV licence for it too as I bet it's ~10 tonnes, no?

I bloody love Ural trucks and that one looks like a beauty. If only I had the cash to buy it and take a year or two off work...If you're going to do a job, do it properly - yours for almost the same money, double bed (quite comfy I must add!) kitchen shower and the ability to run on pretty much anything vaguely combustible. Russian military trucks make Land Cruisers, Land Rovers and the rest look like kid's toys. Here's a couple of Urals crossing a river in flood with a few tons of logs on the back.

They are cheap as chips, and I get my wood delivered in the buggers. There are also shed loads of old UAZ 4x4's about, like, the patriot, and the 452, as well as funky old Gaz's.Russian military trucks make Land Cruisers, Land Rovers and the rest look like kid's toys. My other more sensible offroad apocalyptic camper is a land rover 127 Ambulance
Used to be a "gun bus" for a country estate, 3.5 V8 40 000 on the clock
Davi is gonna very kindly spray it black and tint up the windows :-)
Its already had a suspension upgrade and some decent rubber put on it, eventually I'll have to kit out the inside as a spartan camper.
I owned one previously that had a wood burning stove in it, not very "go faster" but kept me warm and cosy between surfs in the cornish winter snow

I might also add that the chances of any of us actually being able to afford any of those listed on that top 10 (let alone store one on the drive at home) would be near impossible. We need real world options. Not fantasy land stuff. This is a serious issue.
How about these?Humber Pig APC:

Only £5995 for this one: http://www.gumtree.com/p/cars-vans-motorbikes/humb...
Or perhaps something a bit smaller - a Daimler Ferret Scout Car:

Utter bargain at £9500: http://www.milweb.net/webverts/60649/
