I never realy understood what people liked about them. Ugly as sin, so very 80's inside and competing against the F50, F1, NSX, 911 GT2 and GT3, Diablo or, my personal choice, Aston-Martin V8 Vantage Coupe (prefrably the Le Mans).

Each to thier own.
Plenty of bland in your list, in my eyes.
TO me they are brutal looking which is good in my eyes. In the same way that I love the looks of the modern GT-R I love the looks of that Buggatti. It looks like something shat out by the actual devil. THat can only be a good thing

Don't you mean the Vantage Le Mans? Which of course was famed for it's up-to-date interior....

Ahhh, lovely car.

I remember attending the official presentation back in the day, everyone seemed gobsmacked by the look and the sheer presence of the car, and yes it held for a few years the world ice speed record, my uncle that at the time was official dealer for northern Italy was involved in the attempt. He still has on unsold black LHD in the back of the showroom.
Magnificient , but sadly ignored.
The front slashes anticipated those on the 458's nose.

Is it me or does 4.9 seconds to 60 seem a bit 'slow' for a 4wd 560hp supercar?

I've actually been in love with these since my mum got me the 1:18 Bburago model when it first came out in the early 90's. I was about twelve at the time and thought it was the most awesome looking car ever!

smile
laugh Same here, it was a bright yellow one that took pride of place on the shelf for many years.

I've always loved them, even had a soft-spot for the Edonis, that was built out of the left-over tubs:

cool

Isn't the 0-60 around 3.9s not 4.9?

Would be a 600hp+ Super Sport version for me if I had the choice biggrin

...216mph and 0-62 in a far more respectable 3.2secs. Also slightly nicer looking in my eyes with the more obvious spoiler, plainer alloys and other subtle detail tweaks. Hopefully less refinement too so a nicer, rawer noise and experience is had smile I've seen a Veyron or two on UK roads but never an EB110 - hopefully I will at some point...

Always been one of my favourite supercars and still looks good today certainly shades the Veyron for me especially when you see them together.

Anyone else remember the Le Mans outing in 94 or 95 it had, great car although don't remember it lasting the distance.

My dad had one in the late 90's, i didn't get to drive it, but being a passenger in one, is something i'll never forget, the noise was amazing.

The car was located to sell on, last i heard the car was in Dubai

Yeah, what's to like about a 60 Valve quad turbo V12 that tops out at 213mph?

I can remember Brabus was one of the exclusive Dealers for the EB110 in Germany.
And the Brabus version had a Better interior with Brabus Mastik full leather interior
and many another tweaks what pushes his price to 900000 DM (450000 euro).
For the nineties unbelievable expensive but the brabus had much presence in the flesh.
Later was the EB110 production rest build with carbonbody and more power by Jochen Dauer for the same
price but in euro.
But with his high price and the upcoming veyron was the project not successful and dauer goes bankrupt.

My dad had one of these ( and apologies, as I know how that sounds ). He never really gelled with it though. The problem was, and the reason he thought it ultimately failed commercially, was that it was too much a jack of all trades but master of none. People who owned a car like this usually had a few others, and this didn't really fill a role. It was too flashy if you wanted a discrete drive, but not quite flashy enough if that is what you wanted . It was fast but not the fastest, nor was it the car you would take on your last ever drive.
He swapped it for an rs200 in the end - a different but far more rewarding car...

Love all the early 90's supercars but this one more than most.

I'd also have one in Bugatti blue but the GT would have to have the original wheels and not the SS ones.

There are a few for sale at the minute so fingers crossed my numbers come up.

I like them, but can't help but feel they are expensive (now) for what they are. I guess prices are held up by the sheer rarity value and possibly a halo factor from the veyron, but I just can't help but feel the XJ220 is a lot, lot better value if you are after a late 80s supercar. Of course that will have the wrong badge for some.
