I presume I will get shot for posting a bike in this thread, but in case I don't 115,000 on Hayabusa is very good going. (to put it in perspective, the next highest on autotrader hasn't yet done 40,000, and is 7 years older)

I don't know the first thing about bikes, but I would imagine that is very impressive for a bike in general as you generally don't hear about them racking up big miles at all?

What's the long term reliability of them like?

Depends what the history with it is like, if it has already had the expensive bits done I reckon it could be worth a punt and have a lotof life left in it.

Wouldn't like the job of trying to sell it though!

In fairness, that could easily pass for a 60k car. Looks remarkably tidy, could there be some truth to it?

Wasn't there a thread on here a while ago by a guy who ran one as a company car, and it was on engine number 3?

Something to do with a bad coolant hose design that made the engine lunge itself on overheating if I remember correctly?

Jeep Grand Cherokee with 309k on it:

Looks in pretty good nick, I bet the owner was glad of the LPG conversion doing all these miles!

It's a horrible looking thing, but that XJ looks to be in excellent condition for the mileage.

Good find!

Subaru Impreza Turbo Wagon. Not sure if this is just a typo though and its meant to be 70k miles?
Fairly sure that is a typo, but even still the milage in the MOT history makes for some interesting reading...

It has had a haircut or 2 in its time!

Greetings all
Have had 2 Mondeo man 2.0 tdci.
Bought both with circa 120k, did 30k per year and sold when 250k. Both services regularly.
Motorway mpg = 62.5mpg car 1
63.2 mpg car 2
In 8 years, brake pads and discs, fuel filters, 10 headlight bulbs, 16 wiper changes, numerous tyres and a rear calliper change, back box on each.
Absolutely faultless motorway cruiser, so bought an Auto Titanium, again with 123k and fish.
Happy days ahead, hopefully
DD
Were they MK3 or MK4 Mondeos?

I remember hearing about all sorts of horror stories on the MK3 TDCI engines, but good to hear some positives to balance it out. Mondeos are great cars, will be interested to hear how you get on with your new one.

Minor blip on the MOT history mileages but it seems to be a genuine 272k
What an unusual choice to do serious miles in, good find! What are these like on the refinement / comfort front? Cant imagine it was a relaxing 272k

Forget the brave pills, you'll need a kilo of brave powder for this. Price seems a bit strong to me.

I think you could argue if it has made it that far it is probably quite a good one. Clearly been looked after too. Price does seem strong though, and as we are seeing it would be a nightmare to sell!

66k miles a year in an L200, I think I’d just pay the extra BIK
Was going to say, that must be pretty miserable. Or are the newer ones a bit more comfortable and refined? Last one I drove was a late 2000s one and it was pretty grim in that regard

What about this Honda Accord 2.0 with 560k miles on it, mileage seems legit on MOT check as well, impressive history as well, clearly hasn't wanted for anything

Looks like it has done the bulk of the mileage since 2013, wonder what the story behind that is? Great find!

Peugeot 205 GT. Not only has it been written off in the past, but it's also done 512k miles!

That is astonishing, what a bizarre choice to do that sort of mileage in. Can't imagine it was terribly refined, or comfortable. Testament to the car though, solid effort

Likewise, I was under the impression the 2.0 tdci in the mk4 was a pretty solid unit if maintained properly. I know the mk3 diesels could give quite a lot of issues though.

That's good going for the MX5, agree it is too expensive though. Can't imagine it would be a particularly comfortable place to do all those miles in!

While not powerfully built, I'm 6'1 and have spent a lot of time in a MK1 MX-5, and they're not too bad in all fairness. The biggest thing for me was the noise at speed. Otherwise it was plain sailing. That and it blew a spark plug out. hehe
Yes it was more the wind and road noise I was getting at hehe

I've had a good go in a mk2, lovely little car but not something I would want to cover a lot of miles in for that reason. Perfectly good seats though. Suppose the mk3 will be a step forward in the NVH department, but still an odd choice to rack up big miles in.
