Probably had the injectors replaced twice as well.

That seems expensive to me. There's bound to be low milers/better spec for not too much more?

Not for sale, but we had a 63 plate MB E220 (registered 30th September '13) in for a service on Monday and it had done 97000 miles! Not bad smile
Bit of an update for who's interested.. Same chap popped in this morning for a headlight bulb and some screen wash.. I had to check his mileage - and it was 105882.. Wow!

At the auctions today was a red 59 plate Astra VXR with 291,000. It was MOT'd back in January when it had 229,000. It wore the miles very well, it sold for £2500 plus fees.

I suspect it may have a few less miles in the not so distant future wink

Has this one been listed yet? Volvo V70 with 456,000 miles on the clock. I checked back a few pages but couldn't see it. Doesn't look too bad considering the mileage. Nearly 70,000 per year.

While I'm here, what's the general consensus on a 100k+ mile V70 D5 for using as a mile-munching work vehicle/ general load lugger/family car?

Can't think of a worse MPG and comfort combo for that distance. Awful cars. EDIT: On the Astra.

Original battery too ... Confirms the mega reliability of these things.

But god I feel sorry for the people who did such mundane miles in a stbox like this.

Why?

Comfortable, quiet, enough poke about it for motorway use - seems perfect for the kind of driving it'll have been used for to me
