I'd be seriously tempted by that.

Looks in great order, and for £3k you'd think it's a great buy...if it's made it to 600k +, surely it'll do more? Not highly optioned, but in (what appears to be) tremendous condition.

This has got at least another 400k if the last one is anything to go by...

I was in a 63 plate with 126k the other day, driver was saying they get rid as the warranty expires at 3 years, usually on 350+k miles!http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/2014...

Not for sale, but I thought this thread was an interesting read

:-) That's my old shed! Still going strong, did an afternoon on circuit on Friday afternoon (just starting to get some pad knock off now when the brakes and bearings are hot so it will be due front wheel bearings soon, probably 20K or so and a couple of track days left in them), followed by picking up some plumbing supplies on Saturday:http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...
It's been pampered today by having two new PZeros on the rear and a wash.
I know 996 have a bad rep but this one does appear to be everything proof! 207,112 miles as of this afternoon, or to put it another way about £45K in Super Unleaded
Bit different but quite impressed by this 13-plate Nissan Leaf on 75k miles. Good going for 18-months and still on the original battery with full bars.

Not quite as high miles as some on here, but I just bought this today.
2000 BMW 523i - 188k miles. £950 (was up for £995)
I was also delighted to discover that it came with two spare alloys as well.
It was a round trip of 160 miles to collect it though!
Driving it back I noticed a vibration at anything over 65 - might be rear wheel balance or propshaft. There's also a slight oil leak form the tappet cover. Apart from that is seems ok, and also came with a large folder of history.

Could also be a flat spot in the tyre if it's been sat for some time 2000 BMW 523i - 188k miles. £950 (was up for £995)

That'll be the infamous E39 steering 'shimmy'. Good luck getting rid of it!
hmmjust replace all the suspension components, get new wheels, have the tyres balanced and tracking done... problem solved.
Instead drive at under that speed where you have no vibration cost zero. (I'd get the wheels balanced all 4 £12 it may turn out a wheel or two is buckled
