2012 Land Rover on 280,733 which seems not to be a typo.
It's a three-year-old, low-spec Freelander at £18k from a main dealer. Why would that not be a typo?

That's a PHer, Ed. He has just bought a high spec 300TD with 300k+ miles, hence this one is up.

I must admit, I've been having naughty thoughts about this.

I reckon a couple of days and a few litres of Tekaloid and you'd have it looking quite respectable for very little money. It's too far gone to start throwing money at it left right and centre, but if you could get it looking smarter for a few hundred quid and a weekend then it'd be awesome to see it live on.

Sadly, I'm in the middle of moving house so it's very unlikely to be me that takes it on, but I sincerely hope someone does.

Yep, thats my old merc. I was toying with breaking it, but it is too good to break really. I am sure it will soldier on. It has had both nsf and nsr wheel bearings replaced in the last year and I have replaced the 5 glow plugs. For me it represents an ideal opportunity for some one to learn basic spannering on. Had I not purchased the 300TD I would still be using it. I have a 220TE as well so I can't keep all 3. I was using it daily and the school run alone was 32 miles per day without other mileage. Yes it looks tatty but it has never let me down. The o-rings are a must though as it is leaking diesel. Oh and did I mention they are slow ha ha.

Just seen an 03 plate mini on Facebook on 285,000 miles for £995. Write up is good, all original apart from a recon box.

How about a 2005 Mercedes E220 CDI with 400k miles

http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/2015...

Drivers door looks like a different colour. Also appears to be an old mercy in the background in one of the pics

Nice finds smile

Bit odd the MINI is showing as 2 previous owners as you'd expect it to just be a lease company from new

D4 probably used for towing?

The rear passenger seat (and no doubt the drivers) on that looks a bit baggy compared to the others. I imagine its seen a lot of airports in its time smile

If you want a leggy W124, make sure it's got the "right" engine....

Not exactly high mileage by modern cars anyway.

Anything over 200k is worthy of a mention.

That Mini is probably ready for the breakers and smokes like steam train

Didn't spot that, interesting point. D4 almost certainly been used as a tow car, generally looks like it's in fantastic condition mind you.

I agree, but there aren't many cars at 3 years old that have consistently covered over 1k miles a week from new in the case of the Focus.

The later BMW diesel has a good reputation, I'd be surprised if it was knackered already. Do you know something we don't about this particular MINI?

I thought it looked a little expensive too, but used Land Rover pricing can be silly anyway! Its the sort of car that you could literally export to any corner of the world and have a decent market for it.

Must be a typo but 840,000 miles with MOTs to prove mileage...

Just remember, it's not just the engine that's subjected to these intergalactic mileages, it's everything. On the other hand if various wear items have been replaced which is probable, I don't see tooo much of a problem, as long as you can also get a good discount.

Typo, says "low mileage"(they did spell it milage), MOTs to prove low miles I think.
