Yeh but if you tear that apart and sell it on ebay, nobody ever has to know how many miles it's done. I bet there's a grand in spares easy.

Now high milage as such but 173k in 5 years must have been expensive.

Decent enough looking motor...

Big miles but that doesn't matter - they make great mini cabs

Oh hang on, it's all a big trick played by the nasty mean car...

IN 2006 THE CAR SHOWED 50388 MILES AND 6 MONTHS LATER THE CLOCK JUMPED A DIGIT AND WENT UP TO 512548 MILES. EVERY MILE IT GOES UP 1.5 MILES

In fairness, that could easily pass for a 60k car. Looks remarkably tidy, could there be some truth to it?

Yes, but £450? If it had anything reasonable on the clock it'd be three times the price.

Is yours a 2009 as well?
last of the pre facelift, but would still argue mine was a better buy, plus he's dropped it £500, so I was right smile

Does anyone own a stupidly high mileage (200k+++) 2011-on E class diesel?

Got a 6k mile 15 plate E220 cdi auto hire car at the moment and really like it but don't have £35,000 handy....

Not for sale I was chatting to a bloke who had just got off a mid 90s Harley in February, which is fairly unusual site. He had owned it from new and it had done 400k. 3rd engine, gearbox lasted 350k.

He didn't have much good to say about it, either.

Pretty amazing milage for a bike though, I reckon.

Almost unheard of mileage for a bike surely - that's fantastic!

yikes
Viewed a 60k mile Fabia VRs there. It had done double that at least. The place is a dump, most of their stock is crap. Wouldn't waste my time.
yes I think they have a place over in Luton as well. I went to look at a Saab a few years ago and the whole vibe of the place was really dodgy and quite threatening. The car wasn't actually too bad, but because of the above I didn't trust them, so I walked away.

Apparently the miles went up by 386 miles for 199 actual miles - so a factor of 1.93.

So if it started at 512548 in 2006, and it's now at 626141 it's gone up by 113593 miles.

Divide that by 1.93 and you get 58856 miles. Add on the known 50388 miles and you get a minimum of 109,244 miles plus a little bit for those six months, and that seems about right.

Yeah interesting choice for that sort of mileage considering the fuel cost!

Probably an Ok buy given its all motorway driving and appears to have been well maintained

Assuming it's a 4 year lease company car, the 'owner' probably had a fuel card given the annual mileage.
