288k diesel merc... Just run in
Ohh, that appeals to me! If the internet stories are to be believed, then that is good for at least the same mileage again. Good find! smile

I wonder how much fuel has gone through that car too!

It has been mentioned on the barge thread too, and I believe it is now for sale somewhere else with no mention of the engine issues.

Quite a few on this one too smile

A 300k one, unless it's a typo. Seats look better than I was expecting if it has done 300k.

Good find! Looks quite good too smile

Spotted this on AT, has to be worth a mention:

Could that Astra possibly be an ex plod car?

Good find smile

Reasonably tidy E46 318i on AT with 211k, fairly rubbish spec and looks like it has had a Sport bumper fitted at some point, but wears the miles well:

That is absolutely brilliant, excellent find! The car looks pretty good too, besides the faded lights.

I was actually in one of them when I went to Rome earlier this year - it had 700km on it from memory. Still ran very well, and the interior did look worse than the one in the link amazingly.

Goes to show that Mercedes still make incredible cars.

Anyone feeling brave?

Not as high as some in this thread. But not bad for the kind of car it is, I don't think...

Considering how new it is that is very impressive! Interior seems to looks pretty good as well.

Which isn't right for a French car... hehewink

Excellent posts, that Audi looks quite hard used!

I am trying to work out if the Skoda is a typo or not, passenger seat and pedels look a bit worn, but they could just need a good clean. Does seem a bit daft to buy a 1.8 TSI rather than a diesel to do that sort of mileage!

Some great stuff appearing in here!

That Cayenne turbo does seem a bit of a gamble, especially if it was up for sale not all that long ago.

In case anyone didn't see, here is a thread in which the OP was selling an E36 318is with over 300k on the clock. 3rd time lucky on eBay!

These Australian cars are brilliant, I wonder how many repairs they have had during their life that haven't been classed as consumable?

Would be great to see what my E46 could really do smile

Ah, the PH detectives strike again! hehe

Have we had this rather tidy Focus on 262k yet?

Either those interior pictures were taken 12 years ago, or that has stood up to 400k miles amazingly well! Unbelievable - especially from the shoddiest era of the brand.
My first thought too. Only wear I can see if on the front centre arm rest. New interior surely, or were the interiors really that good?

in my experience, merc interiors where always extremely hardy, even in the 'dark days'...although theres no harm in replacing worn bits, is there? (Triggers Broom)
Not in the slightest, more a point of interest than anything else smile

I wonder what that one is like underneath, I actually quite like that shape.

XJ6 Sport Manual with 264,000.

It did sale last weekend for £670 (which my bid capped at £650) but is back up for sale. Still tempted although the miles (and rust) are putting me off. Trying to see if I can get an idea of how much service history there is, if its been looked after recently and isn't too rotten I'll be a lot more interested.
I really like that. Tried to find a manual XJ around the time I bought my car but they seem to be as rare as hens teeth. Good find!

These Mercedes interiors do seem to stand up to mileage well, this one is on 385k and looks better than some 50k cars I have seen:

Respect where it's due; 230k in a BMW 840i is a fair chunk in fuel I should imagine! Car looks very nice considering, but then it does state it's mostly European motorway miles.

EDIT for wonderful formatting.

Love that! Excellent find thumbup

It does say in the description that it has done 211k, and at the side 230k. Wonder why that is? Not that it matters anyway.

Don't think I have seen another one in Estoril blue, it really suits the car well.

Good find though, always had a soft spot for these. Those alloys are a bit ridiculous though!

Well spotted!

Seems a bit odd to only shave off 20k miles on a 180k car though? I think it might be a typo, if you were going to clock a car you would take it back further than that surely?

That looks excellent, good find!

That's a facelift model as well isn't it?
