I don't think anyone here would class a 5 year old car with 86k as particularly high mileage....... 86k is nothing and doesn't even qualify for this thread IMO.
It's only 17k ish a year on average.

Fiddly really.

Had a failed MOT Daihatsu sat on the drive, managed to swap for a very high mileage (297000) miles, 2006 Mondeo TDCI, solid car, sounds sweet on startup, flown through last MOT, last 4 MOT's had fails on things like tyres. refllectors ect. lets see how much life we can still get from it.. fingers crossed.

Lol a TDCI sounds sweet? Easily pleased.

Honestly how can you let your car fail the MOT due to tyres come on - as a PH you should be aware more than age joe.

"NOT HAD FIRST MOT YET NUDGE NUDGE"

Not that anyone would buy this and clock it or anything...

And "HAS YOU NO" probably gives you an idea of the genius who is selling it.
It has now had its first MoT.

Happily it's covered -109,000 miles in a month and now only shows 38,536 miles.
Everyone knows it goes on but so blatantly frown

Anyone found it up for sale with its new mileage yet?
Who would you report that to?
That's shocking. Someone is going to get turned over buying that.
I looked for somewhere to report it on the MOT history site, but there wasn't anywhere

Perhaps a feature they should ad, because that is shocking
Not the first time it's been on PH ..

Yes, sounds well for the mileage and I didn't own it when it failed last time.

Not sure whether to post here, the overpriced cars thread, or the badly modified cars thread.

Anyway, how about a 98 Passat, category-C, ex-ambulance, loads of tacky mods, with 345k on the clock... for a grand?

http://www.eumotors.co.uk/used-cars/volkswagen-pas...

Interested?

A grand!? rofl

Perhaps it means they will pay you a grand to take it? That would make sense.

fking hell, that Passat is awful in every way. Who would pay a grand for that considering some of the stuff that crops up in the bargain basement thread?

Another slightly unusual choice for big mileage - 12 plate Golf GTI Ed 35 with 110k on the clock!

An opportunity for someone to clock pre-resale no doubt?

Be interesting to know how baggy it is. After those miles the suspension and gear change must be past its best. The bubbling wings are odd as well but with those miles, who cares if they have been replaced at some point.
