Impressive. If I just saw it parked up, I could believe that had 62k on it.

A guy at work has a 53 V70 D5 and it's falling apart at a sixth of those miles. Constant electrical problems and corrosion

Age kills cars as much (or more so) that mileage, and you do get the odd one with electrical gremlins. Rare for them to rust though, has it lived near the sea or had accident damage repaired?

Great find that. I actually think it's reasonably priced too.

What's wrong with the side that's parked in the hedge?

263k Volvo V70, on a 63 plate. I make that about 75k pa.

Nice spec car for under £7000 too.

Nice car, but can't help but think £7k is toppy. Do we think that's a fair price?

Well it's £5,500 cheaper than the next cheapest D4 SE Lux, but I suspect it might still not sell that easily.

It's also about the same price as cars about 5 years older on around 100,000. I know where my money would go.

Good question - I don't know too much of its history. I know that we are in the West Midlands and he bought it locally, but I can't tell you any more than that.

He's been pretty disappointed because he was hoping for something a lot tougher. He was saying the other day that he thinks he has finally cracked it and it should be faultless for a while now

What worries me with some of these cars I.e. The Fiesta and Corsa is that somebody has had to do all those miles in a supermini, I couldn't think of much worse!

Wasn't it the 90 degree (Audi) V6 in the B5 Passat, as opposed to the VR6?

Maybe not high mileage by German barge standards but 173k in an astra vxr, must be mental to do that mileage in one surely?!?!

My current shed is over 165,000 miles, and its a 17 years old super mini. I think it is fine, admittedly it wasn't me that did most of the miles, the previous owner spent a lot of the time on the M4!
