I.e not a 1.2 shopping car for gran Not a comment about my car but peoples' comments about their own: 'It's not just a (insert car of choice) that someone might have grounds to look down on, it's a super-duper version of that car that you should all be impressed by.' The owner doesn't have to justify it to anyone except himself & such justification to others won't make his willy any bigger. A clio with a big engine is still a clio. RH

I.e not a 1.2 shopping car for gran It's more that when someone asks you what you drive, here's the dilemma. Do you say a clio, then they laugh, then you have to decide whether you go into the reasons for having an old clip that's slowly being turned into a track weapon, or leave it at that. Or do you bore them straight away? If they're a petrol head they'll have seen, or probably heard it first anyway. Then after the 'clio' part they'll ask if that's the awesome piece of kit sat in the car park. So I usually say clio, if they laugh I know they're just an average member of the general public and humour them

I actually think it suits the car and the red version wasn't all that nice. Isn't yellow a pretty common colour on Seats? I'd far rather a brighter colour than another Resale f king Silver car on the road

It's meant to have a DAB radio but the mine doesn't oddly enough. It has all the other stuff mind. Negative Creep said: Isn't yellow a pretty common colour on Seats? The model I have was only available in Red or Black but there were no black models left.

I always get told 'Rovers are for granddads' and other old man comments, I nod, agree and then take them around the block. Usually does the trick when you're pinned into your chair on boost, surrounded by a sea of fake wood

Didn't really bother me as:- a) I am a grandad b) Once I started the engine I couldn't hear the idiots anyway!

George H said: Why wouldn't you paint it? Gotta agree the Z is a great looking car, it's a shame to see one looking like a shed. I really don't get the fad of making your car look like it's f ked up... FTLOG why? I want to give the impression I don't give a f k about my wheels... Well that succeeded. Get some paint on it and make it look as good on top as it does underneath (as you obviously do give a f k and it isn't a shed).

An M3 is still just a 3-series. Just like a 320d. The variant of car is very important, I wouldn't point this out in conversation but if I got a snotty comment of "just a Clio" I'd be insulted by the ignorance.
