I love the Evoque - I've said it on here many times - but £80k for a Victoria Beckham limited edition is a step too far for me. Once again, something massively st that will be lapped up by the Chinese.
Not just China probably Chelsea as well

Bend it like Beckham... smile
You saying its ghey ?
No, well, I don't know. It's like this guy in my village, really nice guy, everyone thinks he is, but no-one really knows. That's how I feel about the Evoque. It's probably a fantastic car, and I would drive it, if it was my misses car. A bit like our MGF. It's not mine so I can get away with driving it.

£80k though. Well that's just laughable...

Is it me, or has the concept of understated class been completely abandoned these days? Still, I'm sure it will look great outside your Party Planning Agency, or whatever vacuous non job Daddy got you
You're right, no-one seems to want understated elegance anymore. It is more a case of "If you've got it, flaunt it".

Even if it's hideous and crass. It's a natural progression of NuLabours Chav breeding program - there are a hell of a lot of them about now and they are starting to drive and collect their own benefits.

What I can't understand is the mindset of the person who thinks the Beckam's are cool or have anything to teach us about style!!!

Given that the Evoque is a car that has completely lacked credibility from the start I am surprised this news has made such a splash here.

2 litre? Ideal for Chinese import tax then.

I can see the 200 being sold out almost immediately. Many people live in areas where there isn't a great deal of space and will more than happily pay the asking price for this SUV.

Hopefully it will make the brand overall more aspirational and allow them to raise their average transaction prices in the near future.

It's no different to Yank car design in the late 50s. Just a different form of it.

Big fins, lots of chrome etc.

Nothing to do with Labour, despite them being the whipping boy for those of the Daily Mail is a Socialist rag bent on here.

"Speaking in Beijing, McGovern told Autocar: "We chose to work with Victoria Beckham because she has credibility in a fashion design world. She specifically wanted the car to be masculine - something that David would drive."

And there you have it ladies and gentlemen. Proof positive that bullst can design cars and idiots buy them.

Cheers
