rofl @ woody

got to love the optimism

given the choice of a v10 S6 @95k or continued pork fisting I'd go long on KY

Of any car to buy without a secure warranty, S6 is probably about as risky as it gets!;)
It's from a Dealer so it'll have a token piece of paper to placate the missus though.

Olly, it's a tip but it says in the advert '...(something)to provide trouble-free use for some time to come'

Johnny - I looked at that earlier, but think the 630i may represent better value.
Agreed, was trying to keep search AUC - nice to see I was on the right tracks though. Was going to add 130 but now think maybe thats the wrong direction much as I'd love one of the Clios being suggested.

It's a bit, y'know, dull?

I would be coming from a yellow lighted, white pork with red wheels.
There's the rub, the Porsche is always going to be more exciting than anything reliable at that rate (well, a Caterham probably tops it but then practicality goes)

Sounds good. I reckon the 6er is probably the perfect motor for me - just need to wait for them to do a little more depreciation.

Olly if you sell the 911 and buy a 630i you will be making a mistake.

How long will it have a warranty for? How long will you keep it? if it's longer then the 12 months of warranty then you know that on the first day it will fist you right up to its E63 wrist.

How many boxes does this tick? Manual, V8 petrol, loads of space for the family. In-budget too.

1957? I think Ford might not extend the warranty on that.

Don't know. What hasn't been done on the 911 yet?

Joking aside, if you’d planned on keeping the 911 for a while before it went for the wallet then maybe consider still keeping it knowing that it’s (going to be) 100%.

If you really can’t stomach it anymore, as we all know most fast fun things generally become affordable as the exposure to bills becomes greater to try and avoid this maybe a well looked after E46 M3 or as Sleep has suggested, some sort of Japanese car?

I just think that to go from the 911 to a big 6 golf bag carrier would be a big change but I don’t know what you want to get from a car so really I can’t say.

Or just get a brown 968 Sport.

edited to add a bit of Ron, not brown.

I think you need to keep the 911 at the back of the garage for a while, and buy a cheap snotter that won't go wrong (W124?). Troll around in that until the recent pork pain goes away.

You'll regret selling it in the short term because you won't make back all the money you've just put in to it, and you'll regret it even more in ten years time when it will be worth squintillions.

Besides, it has yellow lights.
