Nope, was (outdoor) karting yesterday in Oxford in very heavy rain. Tremendous fun. Had some good fast laps but didn't win the 50 lap race. I think focusing on how long I could hold drifts for round the track wasn't the best strategy to win the race....

V12 has managed 23mpg from Bournemouth > Amersham > Oxford > Bournemouth.

Off to Lyme Regis today. Do love long bank holiday weekends and i've managed to escape all Jubilee celebrations so far. 'Win'.

Keep an eye out for an antipodean with a very bad hangover and who walks like he's got saddle sore - he's there too.

I'm in Blighty.

Went to Goodwood Breakfast Club yesterday morning avec my cousin, gave the Healey 100/4 a run down and it performed faultlessly. In fact it was probably one of the best drives out I/we have had in a long time.

We set off at 6am in torrential rain, roof up and still getting a tad damp and rather chilly, but we pulled over at the services on the A3 to warm up/dry out and wrapped up warmer and threw a blanket over our laps and gritted our teeth and it was just wonderful. However, when we got nearer to Goodwood the rain slowed and so we dropped the roof and rasped our way through the lanes. Heaven. The roof stayed off all the way home too and it was wonderful.

Well this looks interesting (apart from the wheels and that awful spoiler!) if its provenance can be backed up.....

Nope, can't get past the wheels. If some original ones are included at the price, I could live with the other bits needed to return it to standard appearance. I'll guess they've already been flogged off though.

Ooh, a RHD L7: http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/3768705.htm

£27k though.

How's £15k for a price reduction on the "armoured" E32? hehe

http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/2952407.htm

Now a mere £10k. hehe

I'm struggling to get past the wheels too. But apart from the wheels, the black grill, the window draft/hood things, the naff sat nav, the grey seat inserts and the spoiler, there's still one of the best super-saloons of all time.

Saw one of these (Sunbeam Tiger) in this colour at our local village jubilee thing yesterday, and just stunning in the flesh. Is actually owned by a neighbour of ours - funny what you can discover about folk.

PS: how do I upload an image from iPad, or can't I?

Loon, I can't seem to find the "request a 48-hour test drive" section?

O/T. London was good (well until I tried to cross it yesterday, eughhh). I went to the Imperial war Museum,Borough market and Monmouth coffee. It was all excellent. Thanks for the help guys.

Im sure I read an article about them once and it stated there was only one built but magazines can get their facts wrong.

Its an amazing car in my opinion.

There is an interesting one in the other barge thread coming up at Ultimate7 that has an interesting head lining colour!

That is sublime. Looks like it has the original stereo, so probably stump the cash if I had it.

Chaps, I figured you'd know.

What's the cheapest way to get to France? Ferry or Shuttle?

Any sites that offer cheap return fares?
