V8mate said: Is the entire Thread in France? Nope, was (outdoor) karting yesterday in Oxford in very heavy rain. Tremendous fun. Had some good fast laps but didn't win the 50 lap race. I think focusing on how long I could hold drifts for round the track wasn't the best strategy to win the race.... V12 has managed 23mpg from Bournemouth > Amersham > Oxford > Bournemouth. Off to Lyme Regis today. Do love long bank holiday weekends and i've managed to escape all Jubilee celebrations so far. 'Win'.

I'm in Blighty.
Went to Goodwood Breakfast Club yesterday morning avec my cousin, gave the Healey 100/4 a run down and it performed faultlessly. In fact it was probably one of the best drives out I/we have had in a long time.
We set off at 6am in torrential rain, roof up and still getting a tad damp and rather chilly, but we pulled over at the services on the A3 to warm up/dry out and wrapped up warmer and threw a blanket over our laps and gritted our teeth and it was just wonderful. However, when we got nearer to Goodwood the rain slowed and so we dropped the roof and rasped our way through the lanes. Heaven. The roof stayed off all the way home too and it was wonderful.

I will be in Nice in 2 weeks. In other news the ESP on the C43 is quite effective on a damp Bedford.

Saw one of these (Sunbeam Tiger) in this colour at our local village jubilee thing yesterday, and just stunning in the flesh. Is actually owned by a neighbour of ours - funny what you can discover about folk. http://furlined.deviantart.com/art/Sunbeam-Tiger-2...PS: how do I upload an image from iPad, or can't I?

http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C265277#Loon, I can't seem to find the "request a 48-hour test drive" section? O/T. London was good (well until I tried to cross it yesterday, eughhh). I went to the Imperial war Museum,Borough market and Monmouth coffee. It was all excellent. Thanks for the help guys.

Its an amazing car in my opinion. There is an interesting one in the other barge thread coming up at Ultimate7 that has an interesting head lining colour!

Looks like it has the original stereo, so probably stump the cash if I had it.

Went on Thursday, left having shaken on a deal and gave my card details for a deposit. Was subject to history turning out acceptaand a few bits of work being carried out. I don't expect to hear anything for a few days but will update.

Chaps, I figured you'd know.
What's the cheapest way to get to France? Ferry or Shuttle?
Any sites that offer cheap return fares?
