Which is exactly the way a modern Jaguar should be IMO.

However this has done a metric fk-tonne of depreciating:

Just a brilliant, brilliant car.
'get the fk out of my way' comes to mind.

1988. Tyres for a 535i were £205. Each.

Feck.
On the plus side, a 535i SE was only £25k.

Although if said tyres were TRXs, they'd also be about half what they are now. hehe

Read the E34 M5 vs Testarossa article.

Interesting to be reminded that the Beemer was not at all as highly lamented as folklore would suggest.

Is there any E34 Touring love left in the world - say a Supercharged 540i six speed running a shade under 400bhp.....

http://forum.bmw5.co.uk/topic/66685-supercharged-1...

And here with my own puny 340bhp B10 4.6 Touring.....

Ooh, like that SC 540i, or at least the idea of it. Have you driven or passengered?

Just spent 15 mins on the balcony with mon ami mate looking out towards the Alps enjoying a cpl of beer and discussing motors.

The consensus of opinion is that a 3200 Assetto Corsa really must be purchased.

Unfortunately, "Yes"...I've been offered more than for my "Sport"...and declined it. And although the one in that ad isn't a "sport" mine has more miles (now on 27K miles). I don't think he should have too much trouble selling that.

As always, astounding Derin. First class.
Just checked the V5...I've owned this one for over 6 years, Olly.

Only put just over 2K miles on it in those 6 years.
What is the best BMW you've owned, Derin? That 840 is just wonderful.
What a question Woody! LOL!....I'll have to sleep on that one and get back to you. LOL!

That's where I bought the integra from. Thoroughly nice bunch. Smart outfit too.

Good work Len, which engine has your tourer got? Only ask as a met has a 318 tourer auto and it's bloody superb!
Where we bought dads C4s to as well.
Lovely place

No pics on the link or related build thread apart from engine gubbins, as far as I can see.

Here's one with the same mileage and two years younger, could probably be had for less than 5k.

I'm not quite sure how it happened, but I'm on red alert for blue donkey this evening.

212 Inter please, despite the hapless photography. Though that 246 is rather delectable...

Yeah but it was the 3.6... vs. a Tessa for gawd sake... I don't think that un-laments the M5.

Have just spent hours trawling those pages. Wonderful. Reading this made me want an E30 M3 like you wouldn't believe: http://www.flickr.com/photos/triggerscarstuff/4344...

Deposit paid for a nice series 3 XJ. I wouldn't have minded the series 1 but I wanted one to use quite often, so I went for a, theoretically, more reliable one.

Yay, I'm back in the E30 fold. Today's purchase:

Can't wait to pick it up, even if it does only have two thirds of an engine. biggrin
Nice work. Looks so very right. thumbup
Agreed. They got the looks of the touring absolutely bang on. And they look very good on the cross-spokes.

How many e30s is that, now, amongst te regulars? Z, Punt and me... any others?

We're just about to depart the Dordogne and trudge back to Engerland. Grump.

Just saw this,

The owner of this C43 AMG is a true perfectionist so after a long search he finally found the right car last year. Without wasting anytime he then booked it in Mercedes with the instruction for them to replace any item that showed any signs of wear or any items that may need replacing in the next few years.

The bill Mercedes presented the owner with came to £8928.35 and the results are quite simply stunning!
The expenditure seems to be pretty much all on cosmetics - but the steering wheel looks worn and shiny. And there's no mention of a gearbox rebuild so expect that to be required shortly.
