I think we covered this before but are these as bad as I think they might be?

Seem to recall that they're pretty ruinous

RS2s seem to have shifted ever so slightly in the past couple of years, some dipping below £10k whereas you'd have struggled to get one for less than £15k a short while back (I'm sure jeremyc knows more on the matter)
What the market needs is for those 19 year old fast Audi estate (sic - Avant, purlease) obsessives to have some money. wink

Quite. My minds was working overtime looking at that on the assumption it was less than two bags. Ah well. Another day maybe.
I think he's added n the value of the plate (whatever value it has) but agreed, even knocking a couple of grand off would mean you'd have to really want one

Want to try an integra only? Nippy / reliable / cheap to run / 'different'

You try mine on the 6th with the proviso of 'break it, you bought it' smile

Tried one before. Not for me.

Sound in principle but would become tiresome with the miles I need to do.
What about the newer one? Supposed to be easier to live with.

The DC5? It may as well have a bagful of Meh in the boot.
Ol, you not thought about going back to the E46 M3?

£10k plus decent third party warranty adds up to a decent bit of kit?

I think you need to keep the 911 at the back of the garage for a while, and buy a cheap snotter that won't go wrong. Troll around in that until the recent pork pain goes away
This could be handy.

Can I ask, how long has your name been on the V5 compared to how long it's been off the road?

I reckon once you've got it running like clockwork you'll really enjoy it.

how can you warranty that?
I drove one a few years back; nasty inside, nasty gearbox and felt like it took a second or two (well, long enough to tighten your bot bot) for the suspension to settle going through fast sweepers, did not like
I bought one and sold it within 6 months for precisely this reason - the chassis (and indeed the brakes) couldn't cope with the power. Not even close. I concluded there's a reason why the E39 M5 cost twice as much, despite offering similar power.

You can, however, get 30mpg on a motorway run. smile

I never knew the W202 was offered as a 55, i am guessing they are super rare.

Vol 9. Blimey, that was quick.

I agree on keeping the pork. I've had similar maladies with cars, and hated them whilst the problems persisted, but once solved was quite smug and enjoyed driving them.

Somewhere around 50 were made - 7 RHD in total (touring and saloon)

For an additional £27-30k over a regular c43 they (AMG) did a full e55 transplant (engine, tip gearbox, diff, ) - they modified the floorplan to accept the e55 diff too, new driveshaft, propshaft, 180mph speedo.

Are you quite sure it's not the curious headlight tint that is causing repeated bork?

Once the main problem was fixed it was OK until the night time world turned yellow ... wink
