Really? Run flats should be ditched on every model until they can equal normal tyres!

£21000......... Really?

It's lovely..... But £21000!!!! I'm struggling.
Mileage makes it worth the asking, don't you think?
Is it worth £16k more than Chazbaps Throbber one?

Possibly for OBC not trying to do its Big Ben impression on start up...
cough, 18k more hehe
the way i look at it, a nice 840 is probably 5-10k. does low mileage more than double it!?
Unfortunately, "Yes"...I've been offered more than for my "Sport"...and declined it. And although the one in that ad isn't a "sport" mine has more miles (now on 27K miles). I don't think he should have too much trouble selling that.

Just saw this,

The owner of this C43 AMG is a true perfectionist so after a long search he finally found the right car last year. Without wasting anytime he then booked it in Mercedes with the instruction for them to replace any item that showed any signs of wear or any items that may need replacing in the next few years.

The bill Mercedes presented the owner with came to £8928.35 and the results are quite simply stunning!

Christ, he effectively bought the car again.

I've read that the decision to use run flats was down to the American market and their attitude towards punctures.

I wouldn't have thought the engineers would have chosen run flats themselves due to the stiffer sidewall/greater unsprung weight of them, and the impact that these have on a car.

Did the E9x M3s ever come on them?

I'm with you on the runflats though - not had a BM with them on yet ( only a MCS and they've been ditched now for the nearest Non-RFT equivalent ). I was thinking more of the old ranges, E46 back in time etc

Probably not the best to comment on cheap tyres anyway - I'm the one with a £1500 car on £450 worth of boots - whenever I've dabbled with cheaper tyres I've ended up disappointed ........ and trying to deliberately wear them out quicker so I can get something 'better' fitted frown
T1Rs were my last mistake .......after online recommendations ........ But I'm sure, like as said, most people would never notice

Had them on NSX, M3 and Clio and never had an issue other than wear rate.

As always, astounding Derin. First class.
Just checked the V5...I've owned this one for over 6 years, Olly.

Only put just over 2K miles on it in those 6 years.

+3.

I have them on the hog, no complaints.
I found they made the car feel wallowy and squidgy - as though the shocks had gone soft or some bushes had deteriorated. Played around with pressures but they never felt 'right' to me - a set of Conti Sport Contacts gave the car a totally different, and to me, more confidence inspiring feel. Cost more but it was money well spent for me. I could certainly feel a difference
