Madness to drink and drive even the one.
If you want a drink go for it get smashed but taxi home.
If you want to mix driving and drinking you deserve everything coming your way. Worst cast you plough through a couple taking the baby for an evening walk you plough through the pram.
I cannot begin to imagine the horror of that happening but I can assure you if you did that Every day every moment the realisation what you have done would ruin your life. Depression guilt remorse - you would do anything to talk to the parents to share your remorse but they would never give that to you your life sentence would stay with you.

Of course don't drink this should never happen
'yo shee, yull crash an' kill a lil baby yo jush shee...'

Yes, but let's face it, drinking & driving sonwhat lowers the odds of not crashing, it's braindead to do it when the alternatives are so easy!

It's the pinnacle of selfishness.
So many totally innocent families torn apart needlessl. Yes a taxi is more £ but don't be an idiot be safe and don't put others at risk due to you.

Sorry I don't buy any of the OPs story.

A very well thought out post, designed to make maximum impact on a petrol-head site.

I've been around forums for far too long to be able to sniff out the whiff of troll at 50 paces. And just look, at 11 pages in a few hours his task is complete.

Oh dear.

Oh hell. Think what you like but it is an important message. If one "youff" on here reads it and takes it in - job done (and hell knows there are enough youff around here these days).

But the probability of a crash while drunk vs sober is vastly higher.
I know some folk won't believe this but

It is posible to have a drink without getting drunk unless you are one of those sad people who must get drunk to enjoy themselves

Maybe so and, as I like to think I'm a right-minded individual, I can't really knock your sentiment. Nevertheless trust me, this is not a genuine tail of woe, but a cynical attempt to hijack a populous motoring enthusiast site with a thinly disguised tail of woe constructed by an amateur troll.

I throughly resent the continuous intrusion into our driving lives by those that actually begrudge everything and everybody linked to the combustion engine.

Um effective legal limit is 1 pint.
Don't really get your point about being sad for over drinking. Booze has been what humans have done since the cave age. So this modern push oh don't drink too much your sad to do so you cannot enjoy yourself without .... Get real. I find people who say this are themselves quite dull and also find it pretty difficult to socialise with others ie heading off to a club at 2am. I'm struggling to know what else you do in a late club apart from booze have find and crazy dance. Try that sober its not possible and chit chat isn't possible due to the level of the noise. Anyway I digress its up to you how much or how little yu booze provided you don't drink.

Are you pi$$ed? Seriously, cave men didn't have alcohol... You don't need alcohol to have a good time. I don't drink at all and regularly have a good time. Alcohol is a relatively recent invention in human history.

Permanent criminal record on conviction. 3 convictions permanent driving ban. Drinking and driving is no excuse. It's a gamble on your life and what's worse, the life of others.

Even monkeys, elephants and butterflies have alcohol and get drunk - in some cases quite deliberately. Fermentation is almost as old as life on earth. And many primitive tribes have horrible alcoholic concoctions and use other drugs (for a good time and communicating with their ancestors!).

You are 100% incorrect humans have consumed booze from caveman age - discovered by chance they drank it and enjoyed its effects.

Booze is not the only drug which early humans and animals took and still take.

Your comments are typical from someone who doesn't drink. Oddly I don't hear those who do drink say I have to have a drink to have a good time. You don't drink booze good for you your choice though it is like saying being a vegiterian or vegan is a good thing we are omnivores and need meat as part of our diets.
Booze has been part of our diet for hundreds of thousands of years (in moderation) it is a relaxant to destress it is also in all it's forms very tasty and no 0% doesn't taste good.

Lol Booze is a relatively new invention.... Your so wrong on this unless of course you mean when considered in the lifetime of the earth in which case I'd totally agree but fermentation is natural so Jurassic era etc would all have had booze though as they were "dumb" animals it's not possible to say that they made it themselves or found it and drank it. 190 million years is a lot of time for the chances for nature to ferment and it stay in a pond of something and an animal drinks it

Not at all. I can do none a few or many depending on the situation. I'm more of a country pub drinker I search out lovely places to have a good meal with really nice local ale. Or dinner parties
