I'm fortunate to have both a CLK Black "Serious" and a CLK DTM. Both are stunning. The Black is very fast and very capable. The DTM is, and by some margin, faster still and much more special but that's taking nothing away from the Black as that is an immensely special car too.

The Black has been misunderstood by too many people and when you "get" it, you so get it and I am glad that Chris Harris "gets" it as many will listen too, and embrace his views and opinions.

I've been fortunate to have some special cars over the years and the one that I've had the longest now is the Black series. The reason for this is simple, it provides me the largest smile from a car that I have ever had and I cant see what else is out there that can do this right now. I was tipped off about CLK Black Series by WTDoom and he was so right. Four more people who I know and who have experienced my own car since, now have CLK Black Series themselves.

But remember, the DTM is more special still........
One day I will own a black. Loved that ride at Silverstone in yours!! Thanks matey smile

Looks like a free front page advert for Dick Lovett to me.

Wonder why that would be.

Apologies for the huge thread resurrection!

I saw one of these in SW London yesterday, god it sounded good.
What are they fetching these days? Couldn't see any in the classifieds.

Low mileage you're still at £80k + if you can find one, there's only about 34 UK RHD.

These look so much better than the current iteration of AMGs.

Wow, the one I saw was silver which showed the carbon bits quite well. The owner said it had done 15,000 miles. That's pretty low for a 9 year old car. £80,000 territory though?

I've got a CLK63 whilst it's not a Black Series it's an absolutely stonking car very rare reasonable money (compared to Black) & starting to appreciate in value, I won't be selling mine anytime soon.

Lower mileage LHD seem to be at £70k and sub 10k RHD cars seem to be at £80k still. But as I said the number of cars out there is tiny so it's hard to tell! I love my car and I'm not selling it that's all I know!! smile

If anyone reading this owns a black, what tyres are you fitting now? Mine is still on it's originals but they are hard as anything. Michelin Cup 2?

Lagerlout, did you move on the s65? Would you mind updating whether it gave you any big niggles during ownership. Cheers Bob

Yes, I sold it about three years ago now. Great car, no niggles at all. Probably the best car I've ever owned. Highly recommend one.

I noticed there wasn't a club for Black Series owners on Facebook. If you've got one or know someone who has, can you let them know about the new group please? Thanks!

Hi, sorry not for sale and the only guy I know with one isn't selling his either. I'd guess a few might start showing up for sale soon once the weather starts improving.
