Better value than the one on autotrader - £250,000 for 2,000miles, but I suspect you could haggle hard.

Spoke to Hermann @ MKB. They still do the upgrade for the car, but to get it you have to also get their ECU upgrade/power upgrade to 551 bhp. Total cost including the blip software and VAT is £7,500. They need the ECU & TCU or the car taking to them to do the work.

There's a local SL Black here in Limassol, Cyprus in black and very nice it is too.

Best color I've seen on another SL black was a beautiful dark metallic blue. Not sure if that's a stock or not.

Re the power output. If 550 is with the ECU upgrade what's the stock power of the black series as I was under the impression it was way north of 500?

Heck, my 408ci (6.4 litre) naturally aspirated De Tomaso churned out 525 bhp when on the engine dyno and the car cost me £10,500 + fresh upgrade.

Much as I would truly love a Black...

Might have to see yours at some point as going on price alone that's a very expensive remap. I understand the work that must have gone into it so it reflects the costs and limited audience, but my gearbox works pretty well as it is. I mean I just sold on an R231 SL63 and I hated the box in that, this is much better by comparison. Maybe I'm just used to driving old slow Merc gearboxes. Would be good to see a video or something if you ever get the time?

Anyone here set their car up for track days? Obviously the suspension is adjustable but what settings are good to start with? Mine currently sits quite high at the front.
