Works nicely but it has revealed that a lot of the cars up local to me are owned by complete muppets.
Valued at £12000. Will accept offers near £10000. Righto then.
No major rust except for on scuttle, wing, door
Countless overvalued 'restoration projects'

Unfortunately my browsing will now go out the window as Javascript and Flash are not installed nor allowed on my computer. For instance I can't even use the beta site as I can't click on the X for 'Close this help screen' Will there be any alternative to use? For instance when they changed AVForums I could not longer log in, but admin sent me a link to the old style log in screen and it still works fine for me so I was happy with that! There isn't any flash on the site at all, but you're not allowed Javascript? A lot of people have it disabled because of ad-blockers, but they should be able to add PH to the exception list without any problems. Presumably it must affect a lot of your browsing of other sites too? Just out of interest, what sort of office environment are you in where things are locked down to that extent? At the moment we've no plans to introduce a site with no javascript, and whilst the old site will still continue for a while, it will ultimately be retired. The only thing I can think is that perhaps the mobile site (which can be accessed easily from a desktop) might work? I work in the NHS. Maybe not the perfect time for browsing PistonHeads but tbh I spend most lunch times on here! Just for reference, Autotrader & Gumtree work fine here, however I have trouble with eBay... most options for selection do not work and I can't enlarge pictures. I got past the front screen by refreshing. It seems all I cannot do atm is that 'Sort by' & 'Results per page' do not work. And if I select vehicles, I cannot removal individually, nor by clicking on 'Remove all'. Also, when I click on enlarge picture I get re-directed to a site with a 500 Internal Server Error... is this a problem my end or simply a function not yet in use? The mobile site is indeed an idea, but afaik you can't do 'Advanced' searches is that right? Use it quite a lot!

With JS unenabled you should just see everything - so JS just controls how much of all the filters in the background you see. We'll find a workaround to the picture error - it loads in a JS gallery, so I'm sure we can find a no script fix. The rest of the site has been built with no script in mind, albeit not as the primary target. The mobile site doesn't let you do advanced searching at present, but it will do. S

Stuart, is a mileage filter a possibility? Ranked from high to low?

Just one pedantic point...E90 M3s are not the same as E92 M3s.

The release of the new system left me loosing the will to live. This Beta version looks fantastic and allows browsing in the same manner as old if required. It knocks socks off all other classified search systems I've seen.

ETA and when you click on the heading. and if you click on the 'full details' link. Doesn't seem to be any way to get to the full ad? ETA: Also if you go into view pictures and use the 'see the full advert' link This is on Firefox. Could you tell me what version of FF your running? Also is there an add in particular or all of them (if you post the advert id the last part of the url that would be very helpful). Thanks

Doesn't work on IE6 which is all I'm allowed at work. Don't let that stop you though, I'll check it at home later tonight.

Looks ok to me.
Just realised there's a big jump in mileage 40 to 100 miles on search radius. Is it possible to do a 60 or 70 miles?
Cheers

S That would be brilliant if there was a way to view larger images, can be annoying otherwise! I understand the use of filters, as I said it's usually the same case with eBay. I don't mean to moan, but I'm sure you understand where I'm coming from... PistonHeads is one of my treats of the day lol and I'm obsessed with going through the classifieds as I'm sure most people are on here! Hopefully I won't find the final version too restrictive. I'll have another look at the beta when I get to my home PC

Any chance of putting a filter in that removes cars with no listed price?
I.E im looking for a sub £500 for a banger rally, and its filled with page upon page of no price lease deals.

Only thing that bugs me slightly is that when you have it on thumbnail view its only a max of 4 columns. On the current version when you view it as 'gallery' it would spread out to fill up your entire browser window.

A million times better than the last classifieds upgrade. Personally i like the currant one but i won't be disappointed if this beta one goes live.

I've been lucky enough have had access to the new look classifieds during testing, (thanks Stuart) personally I much prefer them to the old style. Don't look at the old classifieds for a week, then go back & see which you prefer

Was there a search by MPG before? Glad to see it's been added if it wasn't.
The rest is looking pretty good too, aside from idiots who think their 52 reg astra is a 50-year-old classic.
One thing I do like is that you're not forced to search by model, then filter. (OK, I know you didn't have to before, but it was a bit of a faff).
I like the way it's easy to go "I wonder what car from the 60's I could get for 2000 notes?" or "What's the cheapest way into TVR ownership?"

Looks great. After you have reviewed a car and you go 'back' to the search screen, it goes to the top of your search. Would be better if it went back to where you were searching so you don;t have to scroll down past the cars you have already looked at. I know this is possible as other site do this.
